omg...i just spent £58 on a 2GB + shipping... i could have gotten two of these... damnit.

although he has 100% good feedback...he has his comments set to hidden...could be a potential scam job. let me know if you actually get your card..

Hi M8,

yes this seems quite common practice for sellers to go 'private' these days.

So for just this once I Hope Your Wrong!!! Lol!! ;)

Hmmm, I like to see there feedback and see what other items they have sold and bought. You find out things like people buying lots of 25p things to get a good feedback and then they start selling stuff worth hundreds of pounds. Makes you very suspicious. (The seller that did this never received any more feedback and eventually became "unregistered", so go figure...)

I'll give it a miss until you have received yours. Thanks for the notification though.

Too good to be true I think, that's less than they are from SD factory. So either off the back of a lorry or fake.

ask 'em if its brand new sealed in packaging. Because i recieved one card with no packaging even though it was marked as "brand new". Also, if they arent sealed, they COULD be second hand faulty ones, you know, you bought one from an online company, they said its faulty, they send it back. Then instead of the company sending it back also, they claim for the loss PLUS sell it on!! Its true, i knew a bloke who did this with other electronic things! He used to work for a catalogue though..
if they were from the back of a lorry, then theyd know their beans and sell them for MUCH more! i mean, there are plenty of people who would buy a card for their camera, and sd cards are SO widespread right now for all kinds of products. its wierd that that person has to sell them on ebay to get rid of them.
HEH HEH, it would be funny if hes actually selling a whole bunch of 64mb cards which total to 2gb... old used 64mb cards he took from digital cameras...

im theorising here, but i would NEVER buy it for that much!
go to www.svp.co.uk they are the cheapest i know really, with reliability and service. I mean, craigx, you sell them for £45? svp sells them for £35! and thats cheaper than ebay too! but the 2gb cards on there are about £80!! even on a cheap site like that!

All im saying is, im trying to get into the mind of the criminal here (haw haw haw im branding him a criminal already!) if YOU really wanted some cash, and had 3 brand new 2gb sd cards just lying around.. would you go on ebay, type in 2gb sd card and sell them for 1/4 of the price as they all go for?
I for one would just take a tenner off the price everyone sells them for and include postage in the price. because EVERYONE wants a 2gb sd these days, cameras, pdas, all kinds of things and memory is like nearly as popular as mp3 players and psps and xbox 360s. I am guaranteed a sale anyway, but for a quick sale, all ud need to do was take off a tenner!

If they were from back of truck..if i was criminal i certainly wouldnt put them up for sale for all to see! because there is a record of transaction, and whoever owned these cards in the first place clearly would look on ebay for sd cards of same make and same amount which was stolen and also the date it was put on.

so really, you gotta think WHY they are £35 including postage? Reason; private feedback option selected, why risk having people say "many thanks for crack, i enjoyed myself!" and give evidence of previously strange sales?!?! :D haw haw haw.
Nah, this is what i think...
they are extremely cheaply made sd cards. im talking the cheapest of cheap, the write protect swtich is probably a piece of card. the card is not brand new and has just got a san disk sticker on it. its probably not even 2gb!

i have no idea really...
whenever someone gets one, please post what you got here! im so eager to get to the bottom of this mystery! ;)

i got it!!!

The reason why he got positive feedback and is private is because he fakely sold items to his friends (scammers also) and they just left him positive feedback, but because their addresses are similar maybe, they chose to have secretive feedback so nobody could be suspicious.

but then again, he/she has been a seller for almost a year. and has perfect feedback score, even better than mine! and im almost the best!!!

but beware, if you got £35 to burn, then try this out for us!

Sorry for double post btw

There is such a thing as:
Stealing them and selling them for cheap.

It happens quite often these days.. Basically like a mini black market~

Who knows though? Any1 try to purchase one yet?

yes, ive oredred one............

not as confident as i once was but w'ell see......

keep you posted!!

(Not forgetting paypal has 'buyer protection' for what its worth!

cheers

I remember using PayPal Buyer Protection when I ordered a DS game from eBay.

It never got sent, and after a couple of weeks I opened a Dispute. Another few days, and PayPal had contacted my bank, who gave me a full refund, then proceeded to take all the money from the seller's PayPal account (about £7) and deposit it in my account. So overall, I made £7 from an unsent item. ^_^

Last time I looked at Paypal's dispute system, they charged a handling fee for actually processing your request if the seller you had a dispute with refused to pay up.

Not to mention thier dispute system sucks. Now when there's a problem (which has only happened once), I give them a miss and go right to Discover to dispute it.

what would you do if you say bought a gp2x on ebay from a seller, for like £205 with a card for example... you had to wait 15 working days for arrival, which is a long time! After that you get no email from that person... and no items even after a whole month of waiting!

How would you go about getting the cash back if the seller does not contact you? if i moaned to ebay, they would say "email the seller and work something out". But if you demanded your cash back, whats the rules etc and payment charges with paypal to automatically dispute ad refund that £200?
Im just concerned, incase that happens to my friend. I told her to go to gp2x.co.uk, but she wants to look around, i have no idea why. And i cannot force her to go to gp2x.co.uk! Unless of course if you guys point mein the right direction on how to get a refund with a dodgy ebay deal and paypal, i can not be so worried :(
