Amazons game console.


Personally I'm not impressed with the specs of the Fire TV, it's using a S4 Pro which puts it about the same level as the Ouya. Would have thought they would go for at least a Tegra 4. They are also pitching it more of a content streaming box than a games console. Not including the controller is always going to put game devs at unease about developing for it.


The official Amazon video pitch for it mentions you can game using the remote. Only stating as an add on comment , that you can use a game controller also.


There are a lot of Android boxes and consoles coming out this year, both from the west and a truck load from China.

There is shitloads of android consoles coming, yup. I'm not impressed. Playing with your phone as a controller, nope.

Nothing new here except the pull of amazon marketing.
