100 Commodore 64 Games In 10 Minutes

Thanks
I remember a lot of those games and i do play them on the gp2x. But i just noticed two games i really liked but forgot the names of.
1. The Commando/who dares wins like game, just with cowboys instead.
2. The bird hunting archer game.
Does anyone know the name of those games.
Thanks Claus

This video perfectly shows how little progress has been made gameplay-wise in the last two decades.

The archer game where he was shooting at large spiders is Forbidden Forest (at around 9:07 on the clip).

Just found it on youtube (via wykop.pl). Nice collection of 100 cool c64 games in one video. So if you need to pick up some games to play it should be helpfull.

There are a bunch of games I'd like to identify, but 2 I recall are the one at 6:12 seconds with a troll running around and a statue of a woman and the very last game whose character looks like halloween harry from the pc ega games.

last one doesnt ring any bells for me. tho I wouldnt say the character looks like halloween harry...

A moment's boredom at work following this topic lead me to this : http://gtw64.retro-net.de/ .

A lot of stuff on there I definitely didn't remember.

Often thought that games like BC's Quest For Tyres are prime real estate for 2X remakes.

YOu're right, it's a different ega game by apogee. the kid from monster bash. I always get them confused because of the Halloween theme and if I first downloaded it on Halloween 93 from AOL. I was late for (night) school because of that game on that day!

I know the original poster of this video from another forum. He's also done amiga and snes and a nes video in the same style, all very good.

Man, the guys got patience.

The list states at 1:55 MULE is played. That isn't MULE. Good video though. I never had a C64 (I had an A800) but I thought it looked a very good machine. Were the games in this video speeded-up slightly? Or is this the PAL-NTSC difference only?

still got a c64 which I linked to my pc (downloading d.64 files and copy them on original disks). Just had a look at the newest demo (2007) from smash designs called industrial revolution on the original hardware, awesome

You are so right!

Some great games in that video that I never saw before. Gotta start doing some *ahem* rom acquiring now. :p

How do you link the two together? I've got a 128 that I'd like to get up and running again, but I don't have much in the way of software on 5.25 disks anymore. If I could network to the PC, though, I could transfer all of these disk images back to the disks.

Using one of the X-cables is a good way... they allow you to connect almost any serial Commodore drive to a PC.

exactly, it is a bit tricky, you need a cable to connect the 1541 floppy drive with the printer port of you computer and then you need the program called star commander. You can find the cables on ebay. I got an XE cable and this was quite a pain, it worked only on the oldest laptop that I have. But if you get it to work then it is really a lot of fun

Ok, thanks guys - once I had "x1541 cable" Google was my friend :D

Sorry for hijacking the thread....

there are some very important games missing in this video, eg slicks

slicks_05.gif

Elite, Sentinel (but anyway it's nice and off course it is not possible to have all classics in one video).
