Should I have received my final order eMail already?

Just wondering if any update? Last edit to the main post was 4th November, last post to this entire forum was over ten days ago... can any regular pre-orders say they've received their email (or perhaps unit) yet?

Hardware possible to disable R button completely?

Hey everyone, it's been a while. Hope you've all been keeping well. Haven't been using my Pandora much at all because, well, the R button is totally knackered, the action's completely gone and it's constantly misfiring. Can't press any key on my pandora without it thinking I'm pressing...

    Release ProTracker 2.3.4.0

Also, how did you manage to compile it? I'm asking because I have my own version of this on my computer with niceties such as row highlighting for every beat, different colours for the note, instrument and effect columns, and hex count for the rows instead of decimal and things like that. It...

    Release ProTracker 2.3.4.0

WOOO! I've been trying to compile this for the Pandora myself with no luck... thanks a bunch! I'll be downloading this and giving it a go later tonight!

How will the Pyra be for low-latency audio? (for music games)

The Pandora can't run JACK with a buffer latency lower than like 2048 without underrunning like crazy, and a latency of anything higher than 256 is no good for responsive key pressing with sound. I would love to port BeatFreeX (link) to the Pyra in the future, but would the hardware be able to...

dumb question: getting SDL2 on pandora (using codeblocks pnd)

Yo, did a little bit more fiddling around with this recently. I tried this, and the only line that came up was: src/milkyplay/drivers/jack/AudioDriver_JACK.cpp: libJack = dlopen("libjack.so", RTLD_LAZY); Also copying libGL.so.1 (glshim that you mentioned in the other thread) into the...

dumb question: getting SDL2 on pandora (using codeblocks pnd)

edit: thread made: https://pyra-handheld.com/boards/threads/milkytracker-touch-screen-friendly-version-bugs.76985/ Okay, thanks for letting me know. How can I find out what libs are loaded in runtime using dlopen?

Beta MilkyTracker: touch screen friendly version (bugs!)

so the current version of milkytracker is nice, but it's really optimised for PCs and the buttons are WAY too tiny to be fiddling around with on a touch screen! but did you know that milkytracker also has a low-resolution mobile version designed specifically for touch screens??? take a look...

dumb question: getting SDL2 on pandora (using codeblocks pnd)

I just did this, and copy_libs.sh didn't copy anything to ../share. Even after making the directory on the same level as lib, it remains empty. I also tried copying all the libraries that came up in ldd to the lib folder to see if copy_libs missed anything, and am still encountering the same...

dumb question: getting SDL2 on pandora (using codeblocks pnd)

That copy_libs script is awesome! Thanks for letting me know about it! With a quick "export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=." milkytracker now starts up with no problem when the codeblocks pnd isn't running, but there's one more bug to iron out... if the codeblocks pnd isn't running, then as soon as I touch...

dumb question: getting SDL2 on pandora (using codeblocks pnd)

Alright, it's working almost perfectly! For some reason it automatically switches to non-fullscreen even after I FORCE fullscreen to be enabled in the source code, but a simple alt+enter does the trick. Shouldn't be too hard to fix, probably fullscreen being switched off somewhere else in the...

dumb question: getting SDL2 on pandora (using codeblocks pnd)

Good point, don't know why I didn't think of that myself! I'll update the pnd and give it another go. Alright, that did the trick and it compiled successfully! Now I have a couple other questions: in fullscreen mode, touch screen input is wildly off, and in windowed mode the display doesn't seem...

dumb question: getting SDL2 on pandora (using codeblocks pnd)

Running sdl2-config from the command line gives a "command not found" error. It looks like sdl-config is there though.

dumb question: getting SDL2 on pandora (using codeblocks pnd)

I type ./configure and everything seems to work fine until this point: checking for SDL... no checking for sdl2-config... no checking for SDL - version >= 2.0.0... no *** The sdl2-config script installed by SDL could not be found *** If SDL was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in...

dumb question: getting SDL2 on pandora (using codeblocks pnd)

Question as above. Trying to compile MilkyTracker on pandora but it uses SDL2 and the codeblocks pnd only contains SDL1.2. I'd like a little bit of guidance in the right direction before I go plunging myself into completely the wrong thing; just a list of instructions that I can go off and...

Is there a music player that lets you use shoulder buttons as play/pause?

Yep, I found that out myself yesterday night but was too busy to update it. Putting a new line between #!/bin/sh and xmodmap did the trick and I now can use audacious with the shoulder buttons :) cheers guys!

Is there a music player that lets you use shoulder buttons as play/pause?

I gave sebt3's solution a go and it looks like the buttons weren't correctly mapped at all. pndrun_audacious.out gives this info: [ START ]--- Starting user configured pre-script ---------- /media/pndapps/pandora/appdata/audacious/PND_pre_script.sh: line 2: keycode: command not found...

Is there a music player that lets you use shoulder buttons as play/pause?

This looks cool but it also looks like it only has the L and R buttons go back and forward - I want them to play/pause. This looks like just what I'm looking for, cheers! I'll give it a go now.

Is there a music player that lets you use shoulder buttons as play/pause?

The error happens as soon as I start the program with no prompts to select a file or anything. Am I supposed to pass command line arguments to the pnd or something?
