Like i said there i have no idea how much its worth. So what do you all think is a reasonable offer for it? Ebay has them going for like 30 but with an additional 30-40 for shipping. SHould i expect to get that shipping as part of the sale...
Thanks for the replies. It ended up not working. I dont know why. It sort of works but the d pad directions register as buttons. And only b and c work on a six button controller. And b and c both show that you are pressing two buttons when only one is pressed. Very frustrating. I spent 40...
So i guess i was wrong then on the part about the direction of flow? The arrow actually points in the direction of flow. Just for clarity's sake: in the diagram i linked to, current can flow from the DB25 pins to the DB9 pins but not the reverse of that...? Which means i would put the lined...
Please look at the diagram on this page about a quarter of the way down.Link
So in that diagram i am not sure how to read the diode part. I think it is saying to put the diode in with the line on the diode closest to the DB9 side. i.e.
Diode with the line on the left side
DB9 Pins...
Are you saying you got it to work? If not RadioShack (if youre in the US) sells the thing you need. Its discontinued now so you might have trouble finding it but as them to call the other stores in the area for it.
Fair enough. Any idea where i can get older parts like that? i dont have any laying around. N64 is about as advanced as i want. I want to make it small too so i am htinking a micro atx MB.
Yeah i mostly understand about the different parts and making sure they work with each other. Mostly. My budget for the whole build is ideally no more than $200 USD. Probably not possible. thats why i was hoping for some sweet deals here. But if anyone knows of some good deals on the web...
Huh?
Newegg seems to be only new stuff which is a bit more expensive than i want. ideally i would like something in the 1.5-2.0ghz range because when im done with it i would like to use it as a emulation machine. Maybe i just havent looked there enough. Good advice on the thanksgiving stuff.
Whats the fastest you have? 700mhz is pretty good but the faster the better. These motherboards are atx?
Anyone have any cases?
By the way, i am in the US so it would probably only make sense if you are also in the US.
I am trying to build my first computer and i need the parts. I dont want to spend a bunch of money on new stuff because chances are i wont be able to actually comnplete this project. So i figured you guys might have some stuff lying about that you would want to get rid of. Motherboards, cpus...
Radioshack has this router for 20 bucks out the door (ie no mail in rebates) This sale is today and tomorrow only, may 28th and 29th. Pretty sweet deal methinks.

Very good info guys, thanks. Thats bad news about the dell motherboard and things not lining up. And spending $300 dollars is alot more than spending like 30 bucks for a case. I just have all the pieces to a computer in my closet without any case for it all to go in. So i guess i will give...
Yeah, but i cant find any micro atx motherboards that accept slot 1 processors, which is what i have. I am basically trying to spend as liitle money on this as possible and what with the parts that i have all i need to buy is a case. Get it?
What about the mid atx cases? Are they for mid...
Not to hi-jack this thread but i am also looking for video card. I need an older agp with video out on it. I guess i would consider a pci card but i really want an agp. it is however a must that it have video out on it.
