    Spartak Chess

Hey guys. I know there is less and less GP2X releases every month, but that doesn't mean the console is dead yet. And today's port of mine is a good example that GP2X scene is still alive :) Spartak Chess is a chess game based on Stockfish v1.8 engine, which (according to the Wikipedia) is the...

Dingoo Will Not Load Flasher Script After Nand Write

This is a common problem and there's a fix for it: http://boards.dingoonity.org/dingoonity-news/hwinit_2-for-dingux-installer-859

    Can I Trust Them?

Can't say about Wiz or Caanoo, but Dingoo (Dingux) has already a huge database of games/emus.

    Can I Trust Them?

They all (gp2x/wiz/caanoo/dingoo) can run the same software with almost the same performance. If it's about the price, I'd suggest a Dingoo, if about durability, Caanoo is the right choice.

As in getting a free unit for the review? They're a small company, don't have tons of units lying around to giveaway ;)

Lets Add More Consoles To This Place

As for the NanoNote, we're VERY active on the official mailing list. We've made a forum for it on dingoonity.org, though nobody posts in there. Also, NanoNote aims at developers and not end users, so stuff like mailing list/irc is a more suitable place.

    Can I Trust Them?

Honestly if you want to buy your son a MP5 Player/Game Console, you should consider buying a Dingoo A320. It's one of these cheap chinese consoles, however the quality is a little better and there is a huge homebrew support, especially with linux port to that device. You can buy it for $70-80...

    Zombie Sorbet

There is no hardware volume control, you have to set it up via software.

    Zombie Sorbet

@u9i The current up to date toolchain is: http://code.google.com/p/dingoo-linux/downloads/list In order to set it up you must copy it to /opt. Any other location and it won't work. Then you only have to export the path variable: export PATH="${PATH}:/opt/mipsel-linux-uclibc/usr/bin/" ..and...

    Release Ginge

Of course I'm not thinking about the Dingoo, because I'm aware Dingoo is MIPS and Ginge is not an emulator ;) I am thinking about Jornada 7XX series and Openmoko Freerunner, which are both ARM devices running linux, which I managed to run some of the gp2x binaries on in the past.

    Release Ginge

I guess this short answer means you have no interest into expanding Ginge to other platforms? :) That's a pity, but well, you have full right to do it ;)

    Release Ginge

That's a great release for all the Pandora owners, great work you guys! But what about the license status, is Ginge opensource? Can I download the code somewhere? I remember I was able to partially run some GP2X titles on Jornada 720 and Openmoko Freerunner devices, maybe with the help of Ginge...

Ideas For A Gp32X.com Summer Competition

If i remember correctly the GPH contest is about emulators. This contest is more about genuine games, amirite? :) Additionally, isn't the GPH contest limited to Caanoo entries only?

The August is almost there, is the compo happening or not? :)

Ideas For A Gp32X.com Summer Competition

Is the theme really necessary? I already started designing my game, the plot, what's in the game and what's not. Wouldn't like to change everything after the theme of the compo is announced. I think restricting the compo to no arcade & puzzle/board games is already enough.
