Is there a music player that lets you use shoulder buttons as play/pause?

Looks like just what I was looking for ekianjo, but sadly blindplayer fails to start. Here's the relevant lines from /tmp/pndrun_blindplayer.out: [ START ]--- Starting the application ( run.sh ) ---------- [?1034hTraceback (most recent call last): File "main.py", line 24, in <module>...

Is there a music player that lets you use shoulder buttons as play/pause?

I'd like to be able to pause my music without having to pull my pandora out of my pocket, open it and press a button. Out of the ones I've tried already, Audacious and DeadBeeF both don't let you map shift or control as buttons on their own (only in conjunction with another key) and Rockbox has...

The PC World Is A Cluster Duck

Most electronics nowadays are built to break after a short while so you go out and buy the next model and make them more money. The Pandora, on the other hand, is built to last. Sure it costs more but I bet you end up spending less money in total from not having to buy a new one every two years.

    Refugee Situation in Europe

warning, controversial opinion below my views are kinda heartless and pragmatic. it would be nice to give them all a home but it's just not practical when public services are already being stretched. why aren't people on campuses petitioning countries such as saudi arabia to open their...

Pandian vs Angstrom, and other software questions

jEdit is written in Java, so should run on anything that has a jdk/jre (looks like it uses java7 which is even available for angstrom on repo.openpandora.org). Here's the debian packages page for it, which shows it's available for all architectures: https://packages.debian.org/stretch/jedit

Pandian vs Angstrom, and other software questions

angstrom: best hardware support best PND support (obvs) outdated packages, unlikely to have what you're looking for if it's not in repo.openpandora.org pandian: runs off SD card only hardware support kinda "meh" PNDs not supported (PNDs soft-float, pandian hard-float...

SDIO wi-fi 802.11N - does it exist? (also general sdio thread)

1.72? I'm on that right now and get an average of about 0.5 - 30 kB/sec, and that's the 10% of the time when it's not 0B/s for whatever reason (checked with Pandora System Info)...

SDIO wi-fi 802.11N - does it exist? (also general sdio thread)

Looking for a SDIO wi-fi card to replace the pandora's less-than-stellar built-in wi-fi module, I can only seem to find SDIO cards offering 802.11 a / b / g wifi. I'd like N wi-fi if it's possible, but the only links I find if I search for "sdio 802.11n" are driver pages for non-existent...

*smashes through wall* YES I'M BACK

After WAY too long without my pandora, I finally got myself in gear to getting it fixed and it arrived back today. Thank you EvilDragon for dealing with it and for the excellent customer support! Sooo... what have I missed? To think it's been about a year...

spray painted the keys on my keyboard

rygD: I'm aware of that, and the keys do indeed feel different. The paint dried shiny as opposed to the matted finish of the other keys (very hard to see the difference in the poorly lit photographs I posted) and the painted keys are a lot smoother to the touch and yet have a little bit more...

no lol, what's that? :^) I'm running loonix ackchyually, I removed the windows keys when I was running windows and haven't put them on since... just in case ;)

spray painted the keys on my keyboard

Cheers! I did sandpaper the keys before painting them, so hopefully for a reasonable amount of time. If it starts to come off I'll just do it again, but not before reading up on how to make the paint stick longer. ;) I removed my windows keys because I kept hitting them while playing keyboard...

spray painted the keys on my keyboard

I've been thinking of doing this for a while and I'm glad I did. Some programs such as Renoise use the computer keyboard for playing notes, with the keys arranged much like a musical keyboard. of course, this can create confusion when there's no distinction between the "white" and "black" keys...

    What have you bought recently?

posted a soundcloud link with some previews from the guys who made them at the bottom of my post, but apart from that it's only my second day with them and I'm still getting the hang of them. They are very quirky devices indeed. that being said, I've done some proper banging loops on them...

LF: Wip3out Special Edition [PlayStation 1]

Were some changes made in the driving model? I know the speedometer shows different numbers than normal wip3out but I'm not sure the actual feel of the driving changed at all.... I'll have to read up on that one. edit: I ought to point out that I've played both

i've been far away from here because my pandora's been broken (kind of a feels thread?)

hey guys,   I don't suppose any of you had noticed my absence from the board for the last few months, and well... it was because my pandora had broken and I never got around to e-mailing evil dragon back about getting it fixed. Dumb, I know, and very easily fixed but for some silly reason (no...
