The Dosbox / Ibm Pc Information Thread

Alright, my first contribution is up! Check it out, Battletech by Westwood Associates. Speed is perfect and the sound is OK, but a little rubbish on the whole because it's only PC speaker and never sounded too great back in 1988 either... The zip includes a text file with more info, the...

Does The Arrival Of Pandora Mark The Death Of Gp2x Development?

Games like Discworld, Command and Conquer etc used a mouse on the PS1. Quite a few more games, as well, I think. Sure, but I hope this is the 'beginning' for the F-200, not the end of the GP2X... :|

Does The Arrival Of Pandora Mark The Death Of Gp2x Development?

I'm pretty new here, so if this thread is too similar to an existing one, a mod can just close it and I will carry on the discussion in the other thread. So, as the title suggests, does the upcoming release of Pandora mean that GP2X development is coming to an end? It seems like it is the open...

The Dosbox / Ibm Pc Information Thread

It's called DosBoxBlast and is available in the file archive. Really cool app, but I find that I still need to tweak the dosbox.conf file a little bit afterwards. So, who can help out with a place to store/index working config files? These will generally be only a couple of kilobytes and...

The Dosbox / Ibm Pc Information Thread

Hi everyone. I am writing this thread with the intention of organising, into one place, all available information relating to getting DOS/IBM PC onto the GP2X. As anyone can see from looking at my reg date, I am a newcomer to these forums. I am also a newcomer to the GP2X, having only gotten...

My First Three Days With An F-200 - Happy, But Gmenu Doesn't Work

In that case, this is a bit more worrying. Maybe it has something to do with booting up with too little power, and just accessing a file on the SD card on boot up has the potential to corrupt it? Hmmm, is there any kind of CRC checker or something similar that I can run through my entire SD card...

    Scummvm F-200

Hey, I'll gladly put a few hours into testing it, if it will help out. PM me with the info. Furthermore, why don't you put together a donation thread asking for people to help raise funds to get you an F-200 so you can improve SCUMMVM for the system? I would happily pay 10 pounds to a paypal...

My First Three Days With An F-200 - Happy, But Gmenu Doesn't Work

Ha, that is exactly what the problem was. Found four or five broken .png's. Out of curiosity, and a desire to better understand the workings of the GP2X and gmenu2x, how would these other icons become corrupt, if I was only accessing gmenu and heretic2x? Further, is there a chance that any...

My First Three Days With An F-200 - Happy, But Gmenu Doesn't Work

Thanks Ryo, I will give that a try right now. Still seems weird that some icons could have been corrupt on a fresh install of gmenu on a newly formatted SD card - it had frozen twice already before I did the 'search for gpe' function... Will let you know in a few minutes what happens.

    Sdhc Cards For F200

To chip in, I have an 8gb Kingston SD-HC card, and it seems to work just fine on my F-200. Then again, I have only had the system for three days and did have some corrupt files after I ran out of battery while playing Hexen through gmenu2x - read about it here to decide for yourself if this is a...

    Scummvm F-200

And, to add my little bit, the support for the old Sierra AGI (text parser based) adventure games is very impressive. You use a variation of predictive text using the touchscreen and the stylus, and although it is obviously not as convenient as using the keyboard, it works very well. I have...

My First Three Days With An F-200 - Happy, But Gmenu Doesn't Work

Hello all. As the title suggests, I just got my GP2x F-200 on Monday, with an 8GB Kingston SD card. I am very, very happy with this little machine, and find it to be an exceptionally impressive entertainment system/media player combo. The touchscreen is just awesome (I have been playing Exult...
