If we get a reasonable speed fully featured UAE port (of some flavour) it would be awesome to have the Pandora boot a minimal kernel that auto started UAE mounting the 2nd SD card as an Amiga HD. With Picasso96 drivers a 800x480 high colour AmigaOS 3.9 Workbench would look amazing.
Running the...
Does anyone know with the Pandora's Wireless/BlueTooth chip (TI's WL1251) when only using bluetooth does it power down non BlueTooth areas leading to a reduced power drain in BT only mode?
Basically does using BlueTooth alone (or Wireless alone) result it a smaller power draw than using both...
I know it's a CPU hog (oddly it can be one of the most demanding apps to run on modern hardware) but has anyone asked the Dwarf Fortress guys if they'd consider a Pandora port? It's already available for linux (x86) as well as windows but it uses OpenGL (rather than ES).
It increasingly seems that the decision to go with the current case supplier was ill advised. Yes from what we’ve been told it was considerably cheaper – but we seem now to be seeing why it was cheaper. We’re getting very little information from a company (the case company) that has all of the...
As has been said in various other threads on this subject. You need to take into account what you are going to be using your card for and tailor its performance to that use. Focusing on the minimum write speed (which is the only thing that SDHC class ratings relate to) as the most important...
This seems to be going off topic fast. I think the original question was a perfectly reasonable request for some useful practical information.
I'd also like to know what read/write speeds the Pandora is capable of on the SDHC ports. Start a new thread if you want to argue about SDHC...
It would be really useful to know what the Pandora's SDHC interface is capable off. That way we can match our cards to that.
I've gone for some class 6 Lexar Pro 8GB cards for running operating systems on, and cheap and cheerful class 4 Kingston 16GB cards for storage (ROMS/ISOs/music/video...
For myself, part of the "fun" of the Pandora has been watching "troubled" journey to its (hopefully!) imminent release. For myself, the value of the pre-order was not only for the device but for the approach (I hope that makes sense). I want a Pandora (obviously I guess since I've paid for one!)...
Another quick question (I added it to this thread as it was the most recent). Is there any chance that the PS1 emulator will emulate the PS1 mouse via the Pandora's touch screen? The recent English translation of Policenauts has me wondering! :)
I'm not asking Cpasjuste to do anything, I'm only stating a potential reason why some people may develop in Windows.
I fully support any author developing and releasing their work however they want (closed source, open source, tomato sauce etc) and for whatever platform they want to. There is...
Regarding Windows. For a lot of people it just comes down to familiarity. Using myself as an example – I’m just more productive using Visual Studio as that’s what I’m used to using at work etc.
An operating system is a tool to do something, it’s not a religion (well except for the one true OS...
Seeing as how this topic has been bumped anyway.. I thought I'd jump in with a question :)
Does the emulator currently support CDDA, and if so out of what type of CD dump format (words chosen carefully to avoid "ROM" ;) ) i.e. will be able to use bin/cue style dumps and get CDDA?
One thing that would be a good idea to keep in mind when looking for a bargain is your intended use for the SD cards, you don't really need a top end class 6 card for a lot of things.
SDHC cards vary a lot in their write performance and access time, and even the read performance for cards...
