    GP2X Problems With Updating At Http://archive.gp2x.de/

    I'm having an odd problem with submitting an update to my pong game on the GP2X archive. When I select update, I upload the new file and click "Update File". It then tells me that I will be informed when it has been approved. Of course, I am the person who has to review it, so I go to do that...

    GP2X Help With Compiling With Dev-cpp

    Hehehe! Very nice. I had a very good game of left-hand versus right-hand. Your pong2plauncher.gpu doesn't work. Did you edit it in Windows? It's probably got CRLFs on the ends of the lines instead of just the LF that Linux wants.

    GP2X Help With Compiling With Dev-cpp

    I tried it, but it doesn't work. Not sure why... ? I notice that your .gpe is way smaller than mine - did you perhaps not compile it as static? If someone else can get it working, that would indicate a problem with the installation of the SDL libs on my GP2X. Rather than mess about with that...

    No problem. That's why I put it there.

    GP2X Gp2x Devkit And Sdl Libraries Under Linux

    The SDL libs are all in the gp2xlibs.tar.gz download. So you don't need to recompile them. However, I have been unable to get programs which use SDL_mixer or SDL_image working as yet. I will get back to that when I have some time! Good luck with the cross compile.

    GP2X Gp2x Devkit And Sdl Libraries Under Linux

    This should go on the wiki, but I've no idea how to create a new page and then link into it from the rest of the stuff. Sorry. Using crosstool to Build a Linux-Hosted Compiler for GP2X Programs I did this using Dan Kegel's excellent crosstool. Together with the SDL library package, it's...

    Pong Available!

    No I didn't, but I do now! It's now up on the archive site. Pong

    Pong Available!

    OK. Don't get too excited. I don't have my camera with me, so here's a Windows snapshot: As you can see, it looks nothing like what that philistine mosschops suggested! :P

    Pong Available!

    Hi, Thanks to a lot of help from the development community here, my pong game is now available. You can grab it here: Get Pong! You can use the stick, X and Y or the shoulder buttons to move your bat (the one on the right). Please note that there is no warranty with this program. Run it at...

    GP2X Button/joystick Mappings Gp2x <==> Sdl ?

    Thank you so much. That's exactly what I was looking for.

    GP2X Button/joystick Mappings Gp2x <==> Sdl ?

    It might very well be, but those two constants aren't mapped in the libraries I have. Do you know where I might find the source of GP32 SDL? I might be able to have a guess at what I'm supposed to be doing if I had a copy of that...

    GP2X Gp2x Devkit And Sdl Libraries Under Linux

    Thanks for your help! I hadn't twigged that the gp2xlibs.tar.gz included the SDL stuff that I needed. Once I'd sorted that out, I managed to find a crosstools build that works and I now have a setup which allows me to build simple SDL programs which actually work on the GP2X. Emphasis on simple!

    GP2X Button/joystick Mappings Gp2x <==> Sdl ?

    Hi all, First of all, a big "thanks" to the community; with your help I've managed to build simple SDL programs on both Windows and Linux (not tried OSX yet, but that should work too) and get them working on the GP2X. I'm now at the point when I want to port my little pong demonstration, and it...

    Once-invisible Gp2x Appears In Windows

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You have GOT to be kidding me!! It just worked in Linux too! The SD card in my GP2X has just appeared after pressing B on the USB screen. THANKS, mate! The list of things that don't work on my GP2X is pretty much empty now.. :D

    GP2X Beginner's Request

    I had exactly the same problem, and I ended up ditching all references to SDL_mixer and SDL_image from my program, just to see if it would work. It did work OK without these two libs. Sorry I can't offer more help. I'm going to have a look at it again later on tonight, if I get time.

    GP2X Gp2x Devkit And Sdl Libraries Under Linux

    Hi LordDavon, I'm looking forward to getting your SDK. In the meantime, do you have any hints on how to go about cross compiling SDL for the arm? Thus far, I've downloaded Dan Kegel's crosscompile stuff and built an arm toolchain, but the next step is to compile SDL so I can use that. At this...

    User Review On The Gp2x

    I think it's important to be clear that although mine doesn't do everything properly (USB is just a no-no at the moment), there is nothing wrong with it that won't be fixable in a firmware update. The screen is pretty lovely, in my opinion. I can't tell whether or not my display has the problems...

    Has Gph Announced Any Major Firmware Update Dates?

    I've done that, but one time when I added couple of files and then re-inserted the card, the GP2X didn't see the new files. I don't think this is a bug, actually. It's perfectly reasonable behaviour in my opinion.
