I picked up a second hand HD2 for £200.
Pretty good camera - I can take HDR photos, and I've done a few panoramas.
And you get the choice of Android, WinMob6.5(lol), Ubuntu, WinPho7.
Shame I killed it by smashing it off the ground while I was out taking photos :(
If you were in the UK - this. http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/pay-as-you-go/t-mobile-pulse-mini/ (yes it's android) It's the bare minimum, but it does come with 6 months free internet. Which is worth the whole price of the phone. So yeah. :P
Just head go to the Repo/PNDStore - there is a app called Swap files - it does it for you! You have to mount the swap every boot, though.
Here's my attempt at showing real multitasking - Android, iOS, WP7 and WebOS - come at me bros ;)
I've been using mine like a little computer too, it's great! Some apps can random die on you - but I've got swap on the go now, so it's quite a bit stabler.
Synergy is great, too, if you don't have a USB2.0 hub!

This of any interest to us?
I'll get back to you on the transparency thing - I should be fine though!
Here's my proposed idea for the start menu - I can change layouts, styles, just want to see what you think :)
Going to base the rest of the game's art on this style, if you like it!
Looks like a nice idea! I'm going to take a bash at giving it a graphic overhaul :)
EDIT: As you're using purple to make an alpha channel, I'm guessing the graphics only have two states of transparency - on or off, would that be right?
