    The Cradle

I was about to ask you guys what kind of adapter to use for the cradle center positive, or center negative. I got a 5V 2A adapter for a USB hub but the head connector is too small so i'm going to get a bigger connector and splice that on to it but not sure the polarity of the thing but that can...

    The Cradle

I just got my keysonic nano keyboard and mini usb hub (its the size of the battery cover!!! that small) and my dinky mouse ... this is looking so bloody cool now. I just need to get an adapter to convert my DC adapters jack to the 3.5mm the cradle uses and then I will have my mini gp2x computer...

Could I Plug A Wifi Stick?

I guess you were reading my thread eh? Ok well if it's not a ralink chipset (RT2570) it won't work you will need a different driver set. Also as to plugging it in by itself is because it would drain the batteries of the GP2X quickly I assume.

How To Compile Linux Wifi Drivers

Pants. So what would be the process to compile etc drivers for the GP2X? I guess you'd have to find native linux drivers to begin with then yeh?

    The Cradle

Ok this is cool I think I can almost make a portable wifi gp2x like the one on the wiki but will have everything inline with the gp2x and not dangling about! I've managed to find a 4 port USB hub thats roughly the same size as the battery cover! (60mm x 37mm x 14mm) and from my calculations...

    The Cradle

Cool that's alright then I guess. So the 1.5A would be good for say 3 ports then I guess. Also because its 2200mAh Li-ion would that be better than the 4x2600mAh Ni-MH @ 1A or not?? I'm not entirely sure how that would work out. I guess with the 4 AA's most I'd be able to run would be the 2...

    The Cradle

I was also thinking of doing something similar to the wireless wifi setup on the wiki but wasn't sure on the battery box but came across this, what do you guys think?? Reckon it's got enough juice to run a wifi stick on the move while powering a mini hub? 5V 1.5A 2200mAh Li-ion...

    The Cradle

Reckon this should be ok to power the cradle?? 5V 2A apparently as 2X specs.. not sure on the connector though? http://www.akasa.co.uk/akasa_english/spec_...ak_pahub_uk.htm

    The Cradle

Random question. Do you need to power the cradle if you want to use a wifi stick or will an adapter to the GP2X (and not the cradle) be good enough?

Man The Battery Life Is Crummy

I use 7dayshop 2600's and get between 4-5 hours use off and on during the week out of it. So not that bad. Besides I got a set of 8 that I carry around with me in my bag so I'm not complaining :D

    The Cradle

The issues aren't as bad it may seem. I didn't have the black and white issue, the only gripe is the EXT cover but if you can get over that it's fine. You definately need a adapter for the cradle if you plan on plugging in any USB HDD's otherwise it's fine. Card readers etc get powered easily...
