GP2X Devs Please Underclock Your Apps

because it would make their app consume less batteries, so it'll please the users more, which is more or less the entire goal of writing a program i think... there's no obligation (duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh), but it's a pretty good suggestion, and one that shouldn't get the resistance...

GP2X Devs Please Underclock Your Apps

lol, "spending time on". that's funny ^^ they'd compile it without setting a clockspeed, manage it externally with the methods said in this thread, and in about a minute they'll have seen it run in all clockspeeds and can determine which is fast enough ^^ and in the program it's probably one...

GP2X Devs Please Underclock Your Apps

you're so right. i once started a thread asking devs to group their files (was for gp32, some progs of 3Mb took 20 Mb of your smc due to lots of tiny files, and with cards up to 128Mb that's a lot). i got the exact same flaming and overreacting you got... i know we should be greatful for devs...

Why Does The Text Leave Trails When Shooting For Below Code?

the left behind pixels are indeed one of the bugs of fenix... i think using a background image stops it from happening, it only happens on the black background i think. about the blank screen, dunno, i have no experience in making fenix progs work on the gp2x

    Saving And Loading High Scores

yup, in fenix, it starts at 0 (normally). but if you allocate it, you allocate up to the given index, so myarray(5) declares an array ranging from 0 to 5, thus holding up to 6 variables.... i don't know if it's different with structs (would be weird). it's not a great system imo, but ofcourse...

Why Does The Text Leave Trails When Shooting For Below Code?

eh, what is the problem? i compiled it, and see no problem....

    Fenix

in the file archive ofcourse (of this site, not of fenix on fire) it's got everything for your gp2x, so yes, even that

    Saving And Loading High Scores

the easiest way is to make a struct of what you want to save. then just write your struct ot the file (and read it from it). there are a few posts about this on the forum already :)

    Whats It Like Over There?

roflmao ^^ another naive american thinkin we're behind on technology or so ^^ yes, we also just step into a store that sells batteries (and there are a lot of stores that do so), it's all but hard to find here ^^

    Digger V0.1 Released

tsssss... when i asked for this to get ported to gp32 a while ago, giving the source he's porting now, i got all kinds of stupid answers with similar games, or gameboy version or.... and now it's ported for gp2x everyone thinks it's great (as opposed to redundant when i asked for it...) well...

    Mac And/or Linux?

as far as i hear, it probably won't work, but if that's the only problem, all he has to do is make the program, and ask another developper with windows to compile it for the gp32/2x for him :). at least you can develop then, and compiling something you can ask other people :)

    Ninjas V0.6 Released [GP32]

you mean there's something better than paint to make artwork with? next thing you're gonna say that having to bash the a button is poor gameplay, and that 3 "levels" of bashing the a button is very little. stop your wicked propaganda!

    Thing Question.

it depends on your goal. fenix is good for simple games, and don't want to be confronted with the harder things of programming (and with extensive languages that can be complicated). but if you're serious about programming, learning c++ and using it with sdl might be better. but it'll take a lot...

    Primitive+text

if i remember right, the lower the z, the more on top it is (and z can be negative). i'd say experiment with it a bit :)

yeah, was pretty unexpected ^^ don't really use it, but is amazing for such little things ^^ but don't you have better things to do than taking funny things out of context and trying to proove i'm the ubernerd?

    Fenix Will Not Rise.

the dcb file isn't in the fxe file at all, it's just one of the seperate files you'll find in the folder with the name of the game. and you'll probably need all files in that folder to run the game
