    Release GemRB 0.71 released

Just uploaded 0.7.2.7 to the repo. This was a bug in the official 0.7.2, not Pandora specific and applied to BG1 only. The problem was that after exiting the options menu nothing could access the character portraits window any more. The gemrb team had fixed this, so I've pulled it into the...

    Release GemRB 0.71 released

I got similar feedback on this from Bizkaiarober. He said it happens only after doing something in the options menu. Can you check that?

A further update on preorders (18th of November 2012)

I wonder what shape the curve is here. Perhaps there is a better balance here that will allow selling 7-8/day and make 75% profit on each of them, giving .75*4 = 3* profit? I know that example is simplistic but worth considering I think... I think the public infighting is bad for sales for...

    Release GemRB 0.71 released

Icewind dale 1/2 and PST are 50% off on GoG (until Jan I think). I've not tried PST with gemrb though the website says: Though given their great work I'm sure it'll get there eventually!

    Release GemRB 0.71 released

Another new version on the repo (0.7.2 build 5): i) Faster ii) Fixes brightness/contrast Please let me know how you get on. --- More detail for those interested: A lot of the bugs in early builds appear to be compiler optimization bugs. I updated my compiler from the 2011.09 Sourcery...

    Release GemRB 0.71 released

OK, put one more version up. If you try the new 0.7.2. make sure its build 4 (now on the repo). This one has the compiler optimizations turned off. This may make it slower, but it fixes several issues. As mentioned above, I think my compiler does not seem reliably optimise C++. This is the 2011...

    Release GemRB 0.71 released

Uploaded a new version. I found that I'd messed up the packaging and some scripts from 0.7.1 were still present and used! This mix is likely what causes some of the problems. Changes: i) Removed stale scripts! ii) Notably this fixes config saving which GemRB devs had added in 0.7.2 and...

    Release GemRB 0.71 released

Do you have a Windows box? Trying to see if they are issues on the Windows version will be of help. http://sourceforge.net/projects/gemrb/files/GemRB%20Win32%20Binaries/GemRB%20v0.7.2/ To be clear these two things are regressions from v0.71 rather than existing issues?

    Release GemRB 0.71 released

Uploaded another one: i) Wired up brightness and contrast. ii) Flipped all checkboxes instead of just autopause. (note that the default brightness/contrast is not right in this one - I'll fix that tonight probably when I sort out the config saving setup)

    Release GemRB 0.71 released

Well I put a new build up on the repo. Changes: i) Core updated to latest gemrb version - 0.7.2 released a week or so ago. ii) Switched round the Auto pause check boxes so that off is off and on is on which is less confusing to use. Actually when testing I noticed that the 'Character...

    Keyboard issue following 1GHz upgrade

Good news:) I unscrewed the screen and unsnapped it. Root cause is glue round the bottom of the LCD had shifted and when screwed together out heavy pressure on the screen. Pushed this to the side and now it works.

Gamma settings for brightness and contrast

Well I was thinking that it could be used for brightness and contrast in gemrb by adjusting the overall level and slope shape/steepness respectively. By default it calls SDL gamma which does not visibly do anything. I guess the alternative is to post-process the display, but that looks...

    Keyboard issue following 1GHz upgrade

Yes its odd indeed. Sorry to sound stroppy, I'm just frustrated and really like the Pandora/want it working again! 1) Well it did not work with the version I received it with. So I flashed 1.52 myself and still had the issue. 2) The lid appears snapped in to me. Could it be: i) An...

    Keyboard issue following 1GHz upgrade

Sigh... This is getting ridiculous... A) Sent in cc for upgrade to ghz and new board B ) Got it back with this keyboard issue. C) Sent it back to replace board. D) Got it back and touchscreen shortly stopped working. E) Sent it back for repair F) It was posted back to the wrong...

    Release GemRB 0.71 released

I got a Pandora back from ED today, but it's still broken. I'll have to send it back again. 4th time lucky!! Then I can take a look at the new Gemrb and these bugs. Mark

    Release GemRB 0.71 released

Well it could work with qemu, but I wouldn't recommend it! What I mean is the idea is to compare the Pandora one with the PC one to see what is 'in the original program' and what is introduced 'in the pandora version' :)

Gamma settings for brightness and contrast

I'd like to use the gamma settings for in-game brightness/contrast. Currently the op app for setting gamma only has a gui mode. So I'm wondering: i) Is there a way of setting gamma from userspace without that app? ii) Is there any potential for damaging the LCD with bad gamma settings...

    Release GemRB 0.71 released

Thanks for the info here - very helpful. The x86 linux binaries are available from http://www.gemrb.org/wiki/doku.php?id=download. I see 0.72 has just been released. Looks like they've done work on saving the menu settings. Which is why I wonder if these worked in the x86 0.71 build...
