    Debian on SD

Dunno why this board refuses to send me notifications of people posting in a watched topic... feel free to poke me on IRC or on the other board if you find issues with my Debian stuff. Anyway: [ 11.473815] Warning: unable to open an initial console. Not sure what that is, can you elaborate...

Just committed the render context stuff ( and updated the relevant pages, ) so a fullscreen coloured quad in both Fixed Function and Shader Based Rendering Contexts is yours for the taking! I swizzle the Shader Based one too, so it's got slightly different colours in the corners than the Fixed...

Well, I started this back in February, and only really just have stuff coming up on the screen! Not that there's masses of code or anything, or pages and pages of tutorial stuff.. just lack of time as with everything else, sadly. Anyway, since February, I've been plugging away at a little...

    Debian On An Sd Card

I've already got Debian running from NAND ;) though as I didn't bother doing anything to ensure it doesn't write willy-nilly back to the NAND, it's probably not completely useful... was a fun experiment anyway! You probably won't be able to boot from ext4, but don't see what you couldn't run...

    Debian On An Sd Card

Well, I've officially started work on 1.1 now. Doing regression tests on an entire OS by myself wasn't for happening much anyway, hence the lots of 1.0.x releases that were kinda all over the place, as I needed you lot to check as much as possible ;) I'm going to guess that 1.0.3's instability...

    Debian On An Sd Card

This looks like Emdebian and Debian repos having a conflict... you could try removing the Emdebian repo in /etc/apt/sources.list ... or you could grab 1.0.3 as it's the last "full Debian" release I did and has a bunch of dev stuff already preinstalled ( hence why it's a fat bugger. ) Think I...

    Debian On An Sd Card

For some reason, the other board doesn't send me notification emails - even though I've set the flags in my profile.. so yea, posting here will get more attention. I'm going to be away for the next couple of weekends but quickly: I'm not particularly sure on this, as I dn't have a spare USB...

    Beta Bennu Runtime

Fair enough.. should Bennu get updated again, give me a prod and I'll do so :) Ah, wasn't aware of this.. also not sure what the main dev team want to do themselves in regards to dealing with the Pandora. I've no problem recompiling it as a new release comes out.. in fact it's so trivially...

    Debian On An Sd Card

nyargh too many releases lol 1.1 will have Emdebian and Debian repositories by default, along with my repository for Pandora specifics, so looking forward to the chaos that causes ;)

    Debian On An Sd Card

Agh, I've fixed that thing so many times.. seems to keep reverting back to the su-to-root variety. That said, I tend to just use apt on the command line rather than synaptic.. keep forgetting not everyone's as used to using Linux! That's odd, as by default I've set the apt sources to look at...

    Debian On An Sd Card

Emdebian Grip cuts out so much cruft that it'd be silly not to use it, really. Though I have noticed a few oddities with their binaries.. you could always temporarily disable the Grip repositories and just use straight Debian if need be, however :)

That would be this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6pAtVenBt4 It's out soon for Tegra2 enabled Android devices.. and that's about all I'm allowed to say about it just now! Oh, and I was an Atari ST owner, so if you had an Amiga, we're automatically mortal enemies ;) game on! :D

    Debian On An Sd Card

Apologies, I've been a bit snippy recently due to rather large amounts of stress with work ( we're on the verge of releasing our game, so it's a bit hectic just now! ) ... as people on the Wiki will attest to as they've bore the brunt of it recently when some of the pages I created got edited...

    Debian On An Sd Card

Ok... you have an LXDE build, along with some help on how to add PND support by Xopher, and the two little additional fixes I did to the XFCE build. Or, you have the entire Debian on SD wiki page that I've spent godknows how long on to go and do the whole thing yourself with whatever packages...

All releases back to 1.0.1 are still available.. so the recent three of LXDE, XFCE and Xopher's enhanced XFCE are: LXDE: http://www.stuckiegamez.co.uk/apps/pandora/Debian/pandora-squeeze-1.0.4-grip.tar.bz2 XFCE: http://www.stuckiegamez.co.uk/apps/pandora/Debian/pandora-squeeze-1.0.5-grip.tar.bz2...

    Beta Bennu Runtime

I've just built the latest version, if you're still about I can post it up in the morning ( need sleep! ) I haven't tested it, only compiled it so far.. if you could point me to something to test it with, let me know :) -edit- Managed to test it this morning, seems to work ( on both Angstrom...

    Debian On An Sd Card

Welcome to the boards! Now I can keep track of all the ideas you give me, hehe I had forgotten about the NAND mount, I shall mark that down on the stuff to do for the next release, which I should be starting around the middle of May :) I haven't fiddled with over clocking my Pandora at all...

    Pandora Extended Utils on Pandora

Most distros have an ARM ( or armel, to be exact ) port that we can use - such as Debian, Arch, Ubuntu, etc.. - so that's what I'm grabbing in that manner. Most desktop-based distros are also rather heavy for the Pandora. I have been having success in getting Debian running, but your mileage...

Just in case no-one's noticed, sebt3 has produced an updated GIMP which you should install instead of my hacked up version.

    Debian on SD

It can be made to run from NAND, but it's a bit iffy at the moment, so I really wouldn't recommend doing that unless you really know what you're doing. And as I wrote in the guide, don't do it, because it's not quite geared for NAND use as yet and may tax it a bit more than Angstrom. But yes...
