How are the MP Pandora units getting flashed? The boards have already been throughly tested so is it just a matter of putting in a self-booting SD, letting it copy, remove and shutdown?
Who said it would void warranty? I would think it would be under the same consideration as moding. That hasn't been stated afaik. Many of us are capable of building it without frying or otherwise ruining the board.
They will, by the start of production, have all the parts organized for...
Is it so hard to resist posting?
We've had a lot of conflicting information throughout the project and I am only looking for the most up to date info. The LCD cables are now covered with shielding tape making them less likely to tear. The warranty would cover the same as it would mods. If you...
It has been asked before, but with all the required parts in the UK with Craigix, I hope we can have a definitive answer to the question: Will Openpandora ship pandora kits to customers who want to avoid longer waits?
The kit would of course contain everything needed to assemble the unit. It...
Yea, its going to be far closer to 3.9 hours then 14 with an external HDD powered by pandora. You would be better off copying the video to ram if its small enough.
Lulz did actually do the math, and with conservative values like 4AH rather then 4.2
I think a potential employer would be more impressed with a library utilizing the DSP, a physics engine, etc. Something that relates to the field closer then a game programed in a high level language. But if you want to do it for fun, then by all means do.
That doesn't seem likely, the case was designed with that epoxy coat and it adds height to the keys. Your best bet is to get one with all keys black, no printing, epoxied, then laser etch your new layout.
I agree, I dont really like this idea, it would cause delays and I doubt 100 people would be willing to delay their orders while others receive their pandoras.
If you really want to do something for a special edition pandora just order a few hundred clear or tinted cases and sell them after...
Its not practical for various reason. Would you really want a schematic of how closed source, patented IP, chips talk to eachother? There is already open hardware from cpus, ram, dsp, media decoders etc.

The lcd/speaker cable would be covered in copper tape so it should be less likely to break. And Yes, I know what date that was posted. Thanks. I'm fairly sure no devs had said anything against it since then, though squidge (iirc) has stated he thought it was a bad idea.
Why are so many saying no? Craigix had said they would do this. The problem is there will be some soldering involved with the speakers and possibly elsewhere. Anyone who drips solder where its not supposed wouldnt be covered on warranty.
