    Gp2x Coding Competition Results

Are you using a SDL hardware surface with double buffering? I had gfx corruption when I used that. Paeryn knows about the problem. He may have even fixed it by now. When I switched to a software surface without dblbuf, then the corruption went away.

Gp2x Just Got It. Vid, Games Problems

It sounds like you're using the batteries that came with your GP2X. Throw them away and get some rechargables. http://www.personal.triticom.com/~erm/GP2X/GeneralInfo/

    Joystick Problem Revisited

Does this happen in all games/emus? I mean, is it definitely a hardware problem, or could it be software?

    Gp2x Coding Competition Results

Sorry, I suppose that this isn't explained well anywhere. The "Bubble Train" game is just a fun little one to run through. It's just one level for each of the letters B, U, B, B, L, E, T, R, A, I, and N. The "Everything" game runs through Easy, Normal, and then Hard levels in order. If you...

    Replacement Interface

I was under the impression that it ran Linux. We're talking about making a menu that launches other apps, not a firmware for the GP32, right? The menu should just launch other apps that will actually do the work. If it's coded right, then users can choose to have a minimal skin or go as far...

    Replacement Interface

Yup. There's an obvious split in ideas here. Some people here seem to be stuck on how it should look and work to the user. Others are concerned about how it will actually work. Mockups are nice, but if you're making something skinnable with XML or whatever, then you're just saying "here's...

    Replacement Interface

This isn't a very interesting skin, and I think it's fairly old, too, but here's a video of XBMC in action just for those of you who haven't seen it. I can only assume that nobody takes new screenshots/videos of XBMC, because the product just sells itself. :P Oh, maybe I should mention that...

    Replacement Interface

I think maybe you're missing the point of a "Menu" system if you want everything all on one screen. XBMC does for the XBox just about exactlly what we want to do with our GP2X, and it's probablly the best homebrew app I've seen on the XBox. I can only assume that you've never used it.

    Replacement Interface

Have you guys ever used XBMC (XBox Media Center)? If the GP2X had a menu that had the look/functionality/skinability/usability of XBMC, I don't see how anyone could complain. It's even set up for use with a remote or joypad (not mouse). I think these screens are a bit old, but you can get the...

    Coding Compo

Yeah, if you liked it so much, I would have thought that you would have responded to my PM when I was looking for a tester. Oh well. I guess you'll have to wait like everyone else. :P

    Coding Compo

It's similar to Balistic/Zuma. I haven't played Puzz Loop, but I assume it's the same idea. /me runs off to try Puzz Loop on MameOx Thanks for the encouragement!

Yup, very similar. I guess you'll have to wait to find out how similar, though. :)

Omg I Cannot Wait Till Monday

That was obvious (to me), since mine is the other one with mountains in the background.

Omg I Cannot Wait Till Monday

I think normally that description would set you apart, but not in this case.

    Considdering Buying A Gp2x

Maybe you'll find this helpful, though it's not specifically related to battery life. http://www.personal.triticom.com/~erm/GP2X/GeneralInfo/ I figure that I took the time to make the page. I might as well try to get some people to read it. :)
