I don't like n900 because of NON open sooftware.
Sharp PC-Z1 NetWalker looks good except:
1. Battery can't be removed
What will I do after one year when battery is dead?
2. Screen resolution is too large
With this resolution on 5" display i need very large fonts :)
I'm so tired waiting OP.
May be somebody can recommend me mobile device
1. Linux (open software)
2. 4-5 inch display (7inch is too much. But I'll consider)
3. With hardware keyboard
4. ARM Cortex-A8 CPU

I year ago I also read about Oct. Then about Xmas 2009.
Better tell us exact number of devices have been sent.
And how many OPT can send per week in future.
I guess I can help. I'm UNIX sysadmin since ~ 1990. Also like to play with ARM PDA under Linux since Zaurus 5500.
But I still haven't OP (2100 in queue) and need some time to explore OP package management and repository.
Lets say you will finished first 1000 at the end of this week.
It takes 50 days to produce 1000.
So next 3000 will be much faster than 50*3=150 days.
I guess "much faster" means at least two times faster.
Is it correct that you plan finish first batch to the end of Sep 2010?
Last message about production was
