K, i'm a little confused, is the low compatibility due to the new core? Because the xmas release had near perfect compatibilty.
Yes it is, Cyclone is not finished and has some opcodes missing. trap exg, abcd sbcd etc...

the games which don't work will most likely use them

Just making a quick list of games which are playable!

Whip Rush
Airdiver: Works#
Dynamite Duke: Works!
Tenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Hyper Stone Hist works great. 100% speed frskp 0 on 156Mhz (only tested 1rst level)
* Alien Soldier is playable. Some graphical glitches but still playable

Didn't know about these (I only knew Eswat and RShinobi), so that's pretty cool! going to have to download them today and have a play

hmmm...I think I shall wait till the next beta before trying this one then, thanks for the info though, can't wait till the core is fully implemented!

With all the great work so far in this realease will there be sound in the next beta?
That would be the iceing on the cake. I can only hope. B)

yea compatiblity is an important issue but it seems if he implements the missing opcodes he can get most games to work. I know asking for sound is a littile bit asking for to much right now but I think they(Fdave and Ryleh)can do it. Cant I just dream for now:p

Road Rash 2 - graphics are well.. .f*ed up
Streets of Rage 2 - Timer is frozen and cannot move, although action buttons work
Sonic 1 - black screen
Sonic 2 - works rather well :)
Pete Sampras Tennis - black screen

On the whole, this is a pretty good emulator. The speed side of things is defintely improved :)
Sonic 1 ran fine for me.
Sonic 2 was pretty good except for Level 2, where all the graphics are messed up.

Streets of Rage 3 - Froze after the little intro after you choose your character.

The reason why is that for sound you have to emulate a Z80 as well, and there's no optimised Z80 core for ARM.
I've got one ;) , you want it ?

Oops - I missed this post!!

Yes - can I take a look at your Z80 emu?!

That's pretty cool

Has Ryleh said anything about switching to Zodiac yet?

I tend to miss a lot of things you see :)

He said he's going to finish all the projects that hes started here, then release the sources, before he does anything else permanently.

Reesys Z80 core would indeed be useful for the Gens emulator - not to mention ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC emulation.

MrMirko however assured me it would be a rather large effort to use it in gMAME :(

Hope when Rlyeh means to say hell finish his projects it includes fCPC32 as well as fGen32...as I said in another thread ages back theres no other real alternatives to these two.

Not that Im saying I wouldnt want to see fMAME32, fNES32, fNGP32, fPCE32, fWS32 and fZX32 but at least theres alternatives for these.

I'll send it to you when I get home from work. Should I send it to the main email address on your web site or use a different one?

I've been playing a lot of SNES games lately using OpenSnes9xGP 0.2. My feelings regarding Genesis games applies as well:

I'd gladly play a game without sound, if it will run at full speed and not crash ;)
