Super off road is playable ;)
Thanks for posting that. Just got Super Off Road going :) Full speed all the way, and maybe a little more ;) What else has anyone got working with Fgen?

Excellent emulator, can't wait for more. :D

someone please quash my fears but is this gonna be another one of those moments you regret. Ryleh took four and a half months to release an addition to the christmas beta. Please tell me i'm wrong but is it gonna take that sam amount of time for another beta because it still has lots of bugs to sort out. FGen is great, it would be a shame it it was nearer October before another release. Please tell me that he is still working on it (improving compatibility, improving sound performance etc)

Tested about 150 and so far got the following to work -

CrackDown
Phantasy Star 2 (No Saves tho)
Revenge Of Shinobi
Sonic 2

I hope that this beta is what i think it is, an advertisement for GBAX 2004
I think he is releasing this literally a week before the competition opens to wet the judges beak and show them what this emulator can do. Hopefully his emulator for GBAX is going to be improved.

Don't expect too much, he's obviously put a lot of work into this already - it'll get there!

and don't forget you're getting it for free, I just dropped rlyed a little donation on paypal, if you want to help encourage him then you could do the same

:D

Sonic 1 works pretty well, just played thought a few levels inc the bonus stages - got the fall back to the start once, overall nice though.

frolik im sorry if i sounded like i was criticizing it because i wasn't. I know that he has spent a lot of hours on this emulator adn everyone appreciates it including me and when i say 'i hope its improved' i mean that with money and a console on the line, i hope he has developed his great emulator even more!

p.s. does everyone elses sonic 2 crash on emerald hill zone act 2. It starts of in the midpoint of the level on mine and that goes into several background layers followed by a quick flight around the level if you turn around top far.

Games I've tested:
:) Airdiver: Works!
:( Beyond Oasis: Resets after hitting start on title screen
:) Dynamite Duke: Works!
<_< Exo Squad: I dont think ANY emmulator ever played this...
:( Ghostbusters: Played fine for a few seconds and then dropped to about 2 fps, slight graphical glitching at the left edge of screen
:( Gunstar Heroes: Resets 15 seconds after displaying the sega logo
:( Musha: Black screen
:( Ristar: Severe graphics distortion, plays untill you start the first level and resets GP32
:( Sonic & Knuckles: Crashes on title screen, missing bits of the opening graphics
:( Sonic SpinBall: Black screen
:( Thunderforce 2: Black screen
:) Whip Rush: Works! (a little stuttery on FS1, but thats okay!)

Over all I'm darn impressed, even in beta it's pretty good! I cant wait to see it smoothed out! I'd suggest donating to the man if you can!

* Tenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Hyper Stone Hist works great. 100% speed frskp 0 on 156Mhz (only tested 1rst level)

* Alien Soldier is playable. Some graphical glitches but still playable

Lets hope he finishes it before the Zodiac crowd sucks him up never to be seen again. They are doing what I call "bribeware" which is bribing a dev with a free Zodiac or something. See link below:

i hope they can implement reesy's Z80 (fyi Reesy coded an excellent Z80-based master system emu for the GBA.. so you know it's gotta be better optimized for ARM, or ASM, or ASS or whatever it is - - then the one they got in fGen now)

looking fwd to going home and trying this!! Herzog Zwei on the go.. .ohhhh..

(probably doesn't work yet, but you know) Also psyched for Shinobi 3. Yeah!

Just dug out my cd of megadrive games and had a play, shame i cant play them on the gp32 yet.........

reesy made DrGB DrSMS and DrChip8 for the GBA (which all are excellent espically the sms emu) and he also ported DrSMS to GP32, fullspeed @ 60mhz w/o sound and fullscreen (no frameskip), but he doesnt release it because (if i understood right) he doesnt manage to handle around with c/c++ (asm only) and he dont know how to read files from smc, he has to include the rom when compiling the gxb/fxe.
please pay a bit more attention to reesy hes the perfect coder (with rlyeh, yoyo, flubba and some more) :)
