here is a patch for castlevania, its the same as the vor patch only the bat have changed for castle.pak/cdi....
ps: the dir have to be calld castle
yo vimacs, nice work making these batch files up but I've run it on castlevania and it extracts your .pak file, deletes it, then quits.

problem seems to be the "cd ..." not sure why it doesn't work but you may want to change it to "cd ..\.."

I'm using XP btw
So it's
cd..
cd.. ?

Someone could test it on xp for whom it's imposible to do it (not have any longer my gp)
Thanx. :)

Do you have a paklist.txt in the Bordata folder?
If not try putting this one in there.

When i did this it sorted out that problem on my GP-32.

Squidge explanes the paklist.txt

As I no longer have time to bring out my 0.60 update, here's the source code to the last released version of GP32 BOR. I hope someone can take this and update it (remove bugs, etc).

It works! Thanks dude. Future versions should be better documented.

I found that when you type out the paklist.txt you have to press enter after typing each line including the last. ... try it

other than that have you patched all your paks?

Hi all,

Just wanted to put this post up as I have taken on the source from Squidge since he posted it and have started looking at doing some updates. Squidge - hope you don't mind.

The first update has been to add the option to set the GP32 speed in the options menu, so you can now select between 133,156 and 166. Note though that this runs way too fast with the original BOR at 166. Perhaps if there aer other mods out there running slow on your GP32, this will help.

Only other update is to give the fxe the same icon as you get with BOR on PC. No biggie I know but at least it makes it easily distinguishable from the other apps on the gp32.

Finally I know that this fxe is a little bigger than Squidges, despite there being no huge updates. I think this could be down to me not having used the cruncher program to minimise the fxe size. Anyone with a quick how to I'd appreciate it.<p>

I think we can call this beta .52 :)

That's all for now.

@thejuggler: great Update, But one thing would be good: you can set the "game speed" for the games in the pakdata.txt file. Could you modify the program so we could use different settings for any .pak file? So for example Somic runs at 1800 while Megaman runs @ 1700

Having gone throught the board I have a list of things to look at doing. See list below. Please note that these are in no particular order and will get done as I can.

1. Update loading of pak file so that if only one file specified in paklist.txt it will be loaded automatically
2. Add the ability to have multiple speed settings in the paklist.txt file so that eack pak can have it's own setting
3. Add the ability to change the speed (currently in the paklist.txt) from the options menu. I could get it to read a default then change it from the options menu.
4. Make a better pak file selector

Any preferences between 2 and 3? I I work on implementing 3, I could do away with the need to have it in the paklist.txt file entirely.

Anything else you'd like to see added, let me know and if it's possible I'll do what I can.

Ok, I'll add the shadow 6 error to the list.

Just to keep you all on your toes, here's a small update. (don't expect them all to be this quick!)

I've added the option to teh menu to change the game speed. It can be changed +/- 10 each time toy move right or left. The default value is taken from the 'speed=1750' setting in the paklist.txt file and it currently isn't saved so when you restart it will go back to the default. I can change this later but for now it'll do.

The max value is set at 2500 and min at 500. You can get some really strange effects if you set the value to 500 and use the character "Max". It's like Super Street Fighter Turbo on full speed.

Enjoy.

well, personally, i would prefer if BOR sets the game speed itself depending on the paklist.txt. This is much more convenient, because you wouldn´t need to remember which .pak uses what speed.

btw: great work. You could perhaps make a nicer looking file selector, one where you can move up/down through a list of pak files. But this isn´t very important.
