Where are all the programmers?I mean, are there just yoyo, zardoz, etc. who are creating emulators and stuff like that? Are there no good programmers in the other parts of the world, like korea or america?

most things are programmed for contests, because other thna that the Dev seen is a lil' bit slow, but there are spikes, liek after x-mas time for begin coders who got a gp32 for X-mas and such, and the late crowd early feb stuff

but if there is an interesting competition, maybe a month long one instead of 15 days, we make get better games and such, but most short time contests ones are trivial, and demos due to the time it takes to code games in the first place, maybe a 5 month long contest, with rankings for demos every month/2weeks

hmmm.. I like that idea.
Maybe we should talk to GBAx about hosting a gp32 only contest that lasts for a few months
We could offer to run it and they host it because I think they would get more trafic becasuse the GBA is more heard of then the GP32...sad

Well coding things in your spare time takes a long while - we wish we had more time to devote to pet projects, but it's a fact of life that we have to earn a living too.
Be patient, I know many coders who are still struck on the GP32 - more things will appear soon enough. There are projects being worked on with little or no advanced publicity - that I'm sure will be well received.

Does anybody know when we'll get the results from the Gp32spain contest? :p

I actually really like the idea of a 30 day contest, but I think a 5 month contest would be too much. With a 30 day contest it will give coders enough time, and people don't forget about the contest after awhile (pdroms coding contest anyone).

The other thing I'd like to see is the Gp32spain Great Challenge thing on gp32x, gp32emu, gbax, or gp32news. For some reason I just don't trust them anymore, like I think Robster didn't get his prize for the 32meg bios.

Y dont you learn to code urself and make a game if you are complaining how little coders there are. They are doing it for on their spare time and on their own will. and besides, the gp32 is really big yet

He's not saying do more work for free he's saying we'll encourage coders to get prizes for spending their free time on programs i'd say thats pretty different
