Nice one.

BTW Khephren were you involved with the Khephren mega demos etc on the miggy circa 1993/4 I think or is the name a coincidence? Or come to think of it was that the spelling? :)

ok, let's see if i get it: he wants to reflash a gba bios temporally in the gp32????
what happens if you turn off your gp32 without reflashing to gp32 again???
(i think I'm wrong...)

But given that the gamepark bios doesn't occupy the normal area for a bios to do so in memory, why would you actually need to reflash in the first place? As long as they take up different bits of memory, you should just be able to allocate the GBA bios the exact area where it normally would reside and avoid all danger of GP-Death that way.

No I wasn't involved... I wish I had been though! A lot of my friends where in the scene, but I was too busy trying to get into the games industry. Actualy i'd forgotten about the Khephrens. They probably got the name from the same egyptian Pharoah I did.

Where did he say that?

Ok, here comes the doubt train on a collision course.......

Why does one need to decompile a rom to run on the same type of processor? GBA has arm, GP32 has arm, only difference is the GBA game looks for/requires other hardware too...?

And notice, we have no screenshots, no teaser videos, the named user hasn't even posted himself....(And i'm pretty sure everyone and their grandma knows of GP32x by now) No requests for help on the bios... <_<

hte gba also uses THUMB, I think hes gunna recompile the games to be ARM only. Thats what the french guy said, and then do that bios shit thats already been discussed. Remeber, this guys french, he may not speak english. well see next month anyway.

How on earth would we have a video or screenshots when he has not even started doing the emulation yet? Perhaps you should read what the original author said before doing silly requests.

This sounds very promising. How large is the GBA's BIOS anyway? If he is trying to cram in at least the original GP32 BIOS & the GBA BIOS at the same time, will there be enough room? And with acess directly from the BIOS, would the SMC reading speed be speed up enough to extent the size of ROMs used?
