Lazy Reader v0.4

Woogal - you've done it again. Made a great text reader even greater - can't wait to try my own fonts. Many Thanks, and best wishes.

THANKS WOOGAL..

One Question, would i be able to convert a Font File to work with LRv0.4 or would i need to take a screen of a row of font size and place them in the correct place on a BMP file?

yeah, I recently became a believer in this great program...and now a new release!! :D THANKS so much!!

Great work Woogal, much better than 0.2 (the last version I looked at) I have a couple of suggestions though if you have time - would it be possible to only list supported files in the file browser, as I keep my JPGs and ebooks in the root of GPetc and LR seems to list them all - I presume that everyone is only reading .txt files so it would be nice if the program only listed these.

Secondly (and I dont know if this is possible or not) could we have a screen rotate function so that the text can be displayed in portrait format (like what GP file manager does, top of the screen closes to joystick) I find it easier to read this way and the gp is easier to hold for reading in that format too.

As I say, great program though keep up the good work.

Thanks for the comments guys :)

Xyo : Currently theres no easy way to convert a font file (until I get something written). Giffel sent me a link to some software that will create a bmp for you, but unfortunatly it creates rows of 16 characters not 32. You could still use it though, you'd just need to tweak the bmp afterwards. Link

mallrat37 : I considered limiting the file selector to txt files, but as NiN points out, certain sad individuals find log files interesting to read ;). The solution I use is to place create a seperate directory for books. Once you've opened a file Lazy Reader will default to that directory. I've also thought about adding screen rotate (I like the idea of it too), but don't expect it anytime soon :)

Hey Thanks Woogal,

It's great -- accent characters recognition really makes the difference (for French speakers/readers)

yosp,

It's good to have confirmation from someone who's not english that the accented characters work as expected! I can't read a word of any language other than english, so it was only tested very briefly (about 1 minute) with someone who'd lived in france for a while :)
