Congrats to Italy for winning the World Cup Football!

If coach, Raymond DOMENECH hadn't of taken off Frank RIBERY for David TREZEGUET, France would have the cup, because Frank wouln't have missed that spot kick!
I still love you France and Zidane! France 2010!

That's fucking sad. I'm sure even some fans of italy would have given Zizou some ovations, no matter wo won the match. One of the best soccer players career shouldn't end like this. One moment where he can't control himself and it's all gone.

I feel sorry for him, while I also think that a 33 or 34 years old routinie who already won some of the biggest trophies avaible and who's got a good, clean image really shouldn't do that.

And also the match wasn't too good. 20 minutes of good action, and the decision was in the penalties.

Quick work to get that up, kknd_cf. Zidane must now become Frances scape goat.

It was a very tight match but I was supporting Italy by the end and I jumped up and cheered when the final penalty went in. Well done Italy!

I think it was more of a "Fuck the lot of you" than an attempt at going out gracefully and snapping.

Zidane, I think that ###### said something really offensive to you, so even though we're meant to talk about fair play these days, I think that Italian deserved it!

I hate the Adzuuuurrriiirrriri Italian football team ######

You don't deserve to win, but you deserve this > http://random-m.com/images/773079146_zidane.gif

You don't deserve to win, ...

Of course they deserve to win - they only let in 2 goals in the entire tournament.

We ( the swiss ) didn't even let in one goal in the tournament. Got kicked out in the penalties in the first K.O.-Match against the Ukraine ( after _a lot of_ fantastic goal chances.. )

@the ben-guy:
Oh, and it doesn't matter what the italian guy said, everyone that is even close to beeing an adult shouldn't have done that just because someone said something to him. Doesn't matter what it was.
And now there's that guy that's over 30 years old, who has won everything from the world cup, the european cup to the italien and spain league, someone who got the title 'World footballer of the year' 3 times just should be a little bit above of a level like yours.

It's harsh going out on penalties, isn't it? It is a shame nobody can think of an alternative. These days, so many teams are at the peak level of playing that it is almost getting to the point where it is rare for a team to win a knock out game without going to penalties.

I was backing Italy to win, but in my opinion, France played a better game tonight. If it wasn't for the loss of some good players, (for the penalties) I think France could have won tonight.

I'm Portuguese, and I believe now more than ever, that football is not a sport where "may the best team win" can be used as a slogan. Best out of three seems a more just way to judge two teams. It's very sad to see a team go away on PK (like England did to us). That said, congrats to Italy for being a coese, opportunity-exploiting (in the best sense) and keen team.

You are right, its not about "may the best team win". It's about how many times can you fall to the ground like you have been hit by Mike Tyson when there is hardly any contact. Its about trying to get your opponents sent off and general cheating - You must be so proud.

It's a lot easier to not concede having played 4 games than having played 7.

Yeah, but it's a bit disappointing to getting kicked out in the penalties in the eight-finals after getting first in a group with france and south korea. And also, we've lost 1 game in the last 28 matches ( the one against turkey ) until to the k.o. rounds. And we've played against teams like france and italy and haven't lost against them.

Nya. Soccer plays on the field and not on the paper with statistics.

Next time at the euro 08 in our country.
