If anyone's interested, I've got Enlightenment for Embedded running on the gp2x. It's just a proof of concept as it's a bit slow and doesn't do anything useful, but some might find it amusing. It can be downloaded here: http://www.gp2x.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,8,1644.

My plan is to write a new menu using the efl, so for now I'm off to learn more about edje. I'll be sure to post again when I have something useful.
 
looks great! hope you continue the work on it.
i were quite suprised that this one didnt use the x-server...
 
@peetabix: It's just a mockup menu. It was written by rasterman (the lead enlightenment dev) to show how the enlightenment libraries could be used in an embedded system.

@hackgrid: It seems the file was removed from gp2x.de. I'll look into it.
 
i would really like to see this a menu replacement :) it just needs to be a bit faster and more configureable
