Hu6280 Now Has Cdrom Support!

Welp, I think I can personally confirm this Bonk bug. I own two MK2 units, and decided to try it on the other (new..stored for safe keeping) unit today. Yep, same thing. Bonk loves to run left (running away?) after eating the meat! At least now I know it is not some odd hardware issue for sure. Not likely two MK2 units would display the same result.

EDIT: This bug is ODD. Sometimes, I can get through the first stage without Bonk running backward, and sometimes even get to eat that big meat on that second level pink guy and be ok. But then eat that thrid meat (by the volcanoes) and he's stuck running left. ALSO, it seems NOT to happen to me when running at 200mhz, but DOES happen at 233mhz. This could use more testing (at 200mhz) to be certain, but one thing is definitely certain...and that is that I can recreate this bug....but not always at the exact same point. But it is ALWAYS happening after he gets the invincible meat.

What version of Bonk are you using ? Is it the Hu Card Bonk 1?

I have the Bonk 1 iso from the 3-in-1 CDROM AKA Wings of Thunder, i'll give that a try and see if its any different .

I was having trouble biting up the walls so I can check and make sure I can do that to..

Hi all,

Just spot a bug. The patched (no lcd timing) version, leave the vsync off even when it should be on!

Byez

OK tried the iso version and on mine system I could make it all the way to 1-3 (inside the dino) with no issues, I eat all the "big meats" and no problems, also workied out why I could not wall bite !

Could the going left indicate an issue with you joystick ? I assume that no other games do it ?

Yep, like I said earlier, it doesn't happen with any other games I have tried...and I can confirm it happens (hucard version) as it has been tested on two separate GP2X units. Oh well, I'll wait to see if Vobbo has a fix. v1.02 does not have this problem, so I can still play them.

I tried the ISO with 1.06, I'll try my hu card copy later when I get home...

That is a weird bug. Everything works fine until Bonk eats meat. "The Meat Bug"... Hmmm very strange.

I got the bug in level 1-3 inside the dino, i was swimming alone , when bonk disapeared and the screen started scrollinging left, eventually it stopped at i guess the end of the play area and bonk appeared inside the wall and could not move..

Indeed. Sounds kind of funny actually. "Meat Bug". That can be a great username! Haha...

You'd figure if a game were emulated, then that is it. Maybe graphic glitches/sound glitches. Maybe even a lockup. But that is one odd as hell bug!

Yeah or it sounds like a punk or alternative rock band or something. I can just hear it now "hey did you hear, The Meat Bug is touring again!"

Ok, unofficial copyright! :)

If I ever get a band together, it will be "The Meat Bugs". Maybe my first tune will be "Hu Are You".

It can go something like this:

"I woke up at gp32x dot com with a GP2X in my face"
"It said you can go sleep at home tonight if you can stop play-ing that game"

Umm...I have to stop drinking.

"I gotta tell you now - you ant no dame "

I can confirm the bonk bugs... They`ll be fixed in the next release!!

What was/is it out of interest ?

Yes, I'm curious too. Thanks Vobbo!

it was an audiobuffer overrun ;)

I think Ive been spending too much time on differnt dev sites because that actualy makes since to me :)

Love the work your doing vobo, Never new how much I missed my turbo gfx16 till this emulator came along. :)

Oh by the way, the scenery in air zonk flickers quite a bit, and in no reall order. Could this be a simular bug?

Just noticed it a few hours ago will do more testing.
