That is definately the best way to simultaneously spend $280 and make sure that nobody can see how crap you are at sonic on the bus.

Sold.

Haha. If I had one of those on I'd probably fall to the floor and start having siezures. Then everyone around me would probably just look at me funny. Well they'd probably look at me funny anyways if I had one of those on in public. However it does seem kinda cool. I'm just not sure if I'd like to fork out that kind of money on it.

Heck, I wonder if you could rip the monitor off a notebook and use a AlphaGrip instead of a keyboard. Maybe even build a computer smaller than a notebook with the same power. I bet that would take a load off the battery also, not needing to power a LCD. It would be great for watching movies on the GP2X though. If anyone here ever gets one post a review.

Thanx,
Stan

Hey this AlphaGrip thing is just what I wanted for the gp2x. I have been looking for a compact keyboard to use on the go and this is the perfect solution. Sweet! Does this thing need normal drivers for keyboard and mouse?

Actually now that I look closer at it... this thing is a layout mess! I don't really think this is the perfect solution for my problem anymore. I guess I'd go totally nuts trying to use this thing comfortably.

I have a tiny USB keyboard, and with the soon-to-come official BoB, I hope to be able to put it to good use ... I can see using the GP2X as a retro-computer, maybe even play around with some BASIC, just for fun :)

That Alpha-grip thing seems clumsy.

Looks like crap imho.

Check out the PDF, it puts out 320x240 resolution, no need to downgrade the signal and waste power for the TV-Out chip, and use up some AAA batteries just to see that.

In summary, the GP2X has a 320x240 screen, this is 320x240, but the GP2X has digital all the way to the LCD, this would be getting it's signal from the TV-Out chip and then throwing away so many lines of resolution and then re-converting it to digital.

Although a few uses come to mind, I never have the money to waste on that kind of thing.

And I don't see the PSP having this :), also it is perfect for emulating the virtualboy ;P
