Well, sad to say, that with some sufficient time playing, and checking, I believe I have 2 dead pixels on my GP2X. Now, I dunno what to do. I could deal with 2 dead pixels (my PSP has 3). But there are also a slew of other problems with my unit. The headphone jack is a PoS (although I am not alone on this), and the power light hast bent over at an angle... I kinda wish that they had sent me a non-first edition unit back...

Supposedly playing a rapidly flashing seizure movie can loosen dead pixels. I haven't personally had to do this, since I've been blessed with never getting an LCD screen with dead pixels.

I have one red pixel that is constantly on, on my GP2X. Depending on what I am running it can be an annoying distraction.

I'm wondering if the PSP stuck pixel video could be used on the GP2X?

There are ways to un-stick pixels that get 'jammed' on one particular color. If the transistor hasn't physically burned out you can un-stick it. I'm not sure of the exact method to do it, but the program to unstick stuck pixels on the PSP just seems to flash random patterns of colors very very rapidly. You could probably write a program to do the exact same thing quite easily.

e:f;b :(

I've got one dead pixel on my GP2X. I can't tell if it's really dead, or just stuck... Actually I can't even see it unless I'm looking for it.

A dead pixel is a white color I believe, if it's colored, it's probably a stuck pixel. You can indeed play the psp movie to try and remove the stuck pixel, but a dead pixel will remain a dead pixel.

If someone gives me the movie I will change it to a XviD and post it here...

A dead pixel is black. A dead pixel does not emit light like the rest. A stuck pixel is stuck on one color (red, blue, white, black) anyway, upon closer inspection (which required me to remove the protector) I found out that they were both dust particles stuck onto the screen. Although, If you didn't do that, they still look a lot like dead pixels.
