As some of you might know, I mentioned the Xynth system eariler: www.xynth.org
You might also know that it already got ported, even tough it is not very gp2x-optimized. Now, that QTopia got ported, Xynth seems to be forgotten. Whilst I am happy with any windowing environment, I wonder what the advantages of QTopia over Xynth would be,

One thing for sure: Xynth is at least now easier to install, AND it runs GTK+ and soon QT applications, so wouldn't it be easier to port things to it then?

Does QTopia run GTK+?

hmm im not sure... the thing is that most arm qt applications (like ones from zaurus) work on the gp2x without recompiling

EDIT:
does every X app need to be edited to run on xynth?

I do not know, but if it runs GTK+ and QT, that would be quite a lot, wouldn't it be?
