Before I get flamed, this is extremely hard to search for because of the 4 letter limitation :)

So. I can buy these in Korea for about half what I would pay in Canada. Is it worth it to get one? Are they supported? Is the extra speed necessary? I have heard it is for the Neo Geo emulator as it will "stream" the ROMs.

I saw the 1GB version on GP2X.de or whatever, but they don't offer the 2GB version, and I remember that, back in the beginning, 2GB cards were unsupported. So, my question:

Is it worth it to buy one of these? Will it work?

it is worth it to get one if you are using firmware 1.1.0 or 1.2.0. All other firmwares are incompatible. It is great for the neo geo emulator. I myself, got a 133x card and this emulator really rocks on it. So it will work, and it is worth it.

Right now I'm on 1.2.0. I haven't upgraded to 1.2.1 because I never had an issue with 1.2.0. Are you saying that these cards will not work with 1.2.1 or that they will not work with the 1.0.x firmwares?

gph says that 2 gb cards work on 1.2.0 and not 1.2.1. I have not tested this myself because I only have a 1 gb card.

Well, my quest today to find this card was futile. I went to numerous stores and no one carried it. The closest I got was the 1 GB version. The store that I looked at on the net was closed, so I will try again on Tuesday.

I'm using the Sandisk 2gb ultra II and it works fine. Don't know about firmware update though, haven't tried it yet
