Hiya All,

I'm thinking of getting a GP32, but I have a few questions first:

1: Is there any chance of a price drop soon? I'm not saying its expensive, but I dont want to pay £100+ for it then find out its dropped £20 (I've had this happen to me before :D)

2: Does it have a backlight?

3: Whats the best/cheapest place to buy it? For the record i'm in the UK.

Thanks for your help,

Cheeez

1. no
2. yes and no. If you buy one now, it will not be backlit (you can buy an extra kit to make it backlit though) and if you buy it in a few weeks it will be backlit.
3. Probably GBAX.

Well all my answers are the same as kram's except #1. I think on ebay you can get cheaper ones or good deals on "bundles"

1. Dont know about the price drop

2. As before -

3. www.GBax.com - The best place ever to buy a GP32 from..... Craig is helpful and very very fast and also a pillar of the GP32 Community - the price is well worth the service and the product (keep in mind he's a fellow fan of the little unit : not just in it to make money)....his Smart Media Cards arent the cheapest on the net, but they are a damn sight cheaper than high street stores' cards...

Craig helpful and very fast? I contact that guy via ICQ and Email and I never got 1 single response from him. GBAX.com might be the best place to buy it normally play-asia.com is by far the best though they process orders INCREDIBLY fast, I ordered my product and in less than 4 hours it was shipped I have never had a business process an order that fast. Good Prices and Good shipping prices too.

Sorry Ceromus but i must disagree with you about GBAx.com.

I ordered a GP32 and 128mb card. They were out of stock of the 128mb cards so they sent me a 64mb card as a temp till they got the 128mb ones in. Then, when they had them in stock, sent me the 128mb card with a return envelope for the 64mb one.

Top people... they could easily have sent the GP32 with no card and made me wait but they didnt.

Whatever your problem is, just send them a PLEASANT email and i'm sure you'll get a reply.
(i emailed them a question today (Sun) at about 5pm... got a reply, same day, at 9pm).

Have to agree with RTj - Have ordered from Craig (GBAx.com) for many years, Speccy CD's, Amiga, the lot including a GP32, never had any trouble, and the guy is almost singlehandedly pushing the GP32 (from a commercial point of view) in the UK
