Thanks you!

The info that 8000 gp2xs were sold in its "first edition" form is very encouraging. This is close to the one third of GP32 ever sold and was accomplished in just two month. Again very impresive for a unit in "beta state" basically.

This shows that there is need of such device like gp2x. No bullshit, no nonsense machine.

Squidge seems to think a fullspeed SNES emu is going to be impossible and hes a dev? this isnt very good at all..if full speed snes isnt even accomplishable, you can kiss goodbye to GBA etc

I wouldn't worry too much. I am sure a fullspeed SNES emu is technically possible. The question is, how much development effort is needed and will it be done? We also have to ask the question what fullspeed means. It was playable on Zodiac and GP32 already. However, the speed was certainly not perfect. This differs from game to game. There are many SNES games with special add on chips on the cartridge that are not easy to get up to speed. However, the most simple ones that only use the standard hardware should not be that much of a problem.
Completely perfect SNES emulation is almost impossible. Playable SNES emulation of most games should arrive some day. How far we get from one to the other depends on if there is someone with time, knowledge and dedication to do it.

He didn't say anything like that! When asked what he would like to see on the gp2x he said "A full-speed fs0 snes emu, but I don't think that's going to happen." That says nothing for the hardware capabilities. It depends on whether or not a dev decides to devote a portion of his life to making it possible.

EDIT: Basically what OrR said....
