I recently read the *horror* story of a headphone jack falling into someone's 2x and wondered...how can i tell if that might happen to mine. The way i am thinking is by gently placing my fingers on the thumbstick, L+R buttons, and ABXY buttons, then shaking the gp2x. If i dont hear rattling does that mean mine isnt "at risk"?

Thanks

If you hear rattling, then you're beyond "risk" ... the jack has fallen off the board.

It's a surface mount component held in place by four bits of solder and a lot of hope. Sorry - it's at risk.

if youw ant to be sure that it will never brake open it and put some hotglue on/arround the socket, just in case.
or drill a hole in your gp2x and fill it with epoxite^^
