Usb Otg

we gotta work to keep this topic active, the more attention brought to this the more likely we will have some progress made, right now its all idle speculation!

9. USBH1-
10. USBH1+
11. USBD-
12. USBD+
20. +3.3V
13. GND

Well, Well. :D

If one of those is what I think it is, then GPH has gone from bumbling to brilliant.

Also, to all the naysayers that says you need an extra battery for USB Host to work.

look at this:

Yes a 3.3V to 5V DC-DC Step up. Dam the batteries!
Size and hacking the Kernel to support USB host will be the hardest parts.

I'm thinking of a small square box that has Host ports and the DC step-up that will attach to the back of the system. Possibly L shaped. So it can attach to the EXT and sit attached to the back, perhaps with velco and strong adheasive.

Any EE that are bored around here? this sounds like a good side project...
Do we have confirmation that the EXT port truly does have USB host? It would be fantastic if true:D I understand that nigelbrown is a true EXT port supremo, but I have seen plenty of crap posted in the wiki based on half baked ideas and rumors, so it would supurb to have something working as proof :)

we REALLY need to verify that is does infact have usb on the ext port! i know this thread is a bit old but it has lots of goos speculation lol

but even if we make a connector, we need an usb enhanced kernel first to make tests on the gp itself, so can we verify from the docs?

is there anything released from GPH to help us to know ? or do we have to experiment blindly with standard usb modules or whatever?

ehe, i plugged my mp3 player and it said "connected" like if it was on a PC , only once, i wonder if it's a gp's bug or his bug but it's a nice premonitory dream :p

It says on that wiki page that the connector is the same as some Zaurus models, any idea if there's a keyboard that would be compatible with the gp2x out there?
