24mb Broadband In Uk

amazing! they do it in my area too! but it has to go up right? as in it doesnt stay at £24 a month?

thats the sex internet!

my router is a This

It says it has limited ADSL2+ functionality (what does that mean) i upgraded the firmware since. Just preparing for when its available in my area. Also is there a website which can tell me how far from my Exchange i am?

Personally i can`t see the point, I mean i`ve already filled my second hard drive up, And thats on a 2meg connection. What the hell an i going to do with a 24 meg connection. :blink:

Me and a friend had a discussion about this, As he is on blueyonder and is being upgraded from a 4meg connection to a 10meg connection free of charge with no download limit (capping). He has also filled his hard drive up and maybe going for his second one, Where does it stop. :huh: How fast do you want web pages to load. :p

Few servers/p2p services are able to utilise a 10meg, let alone a 24meg connection.

Also the signal depends on copper quality, distance from exchange etc. If your distance is just 2km away your speed goes down to 15mbit. They will sign you up if you are even as far as 5.5km away, which could end up being very slow indeed.

Like the lack of 12-month minimum contract or caps, though. Blueyonder are nice but I'm forced to take out a whole year when I'm only living in this house for eight months.

It will be good if you have more than 1 PC connected to the internet, as I do now.
A 2mb line goes very slow when you have 3 people all downloading and surfing on each PC.

If anything services like this will go down in price.
But I still would check the terms and conditions if I was you.

Edit: I knew I had mentioned this ages ago:
Hanz mentions news, and gets strangely ignored. {sob}
