Here are two images I mocked up in GIMP. The first is a real possibility and I'm looking forward to seeing it in the digital flesh. The other image is a dream, but what a dream that would be.

Just to be clear, these are fake, bogus, mock-ups. I made them for fun and for no other reason. :D

GP2X running a SNES emulator

GP2X running MGS4 (although it could just be running the trailer :D)

Final Fantasy 7

MegaDrive Emulator

Here's one that is just wrong, on many levels:

;)

Let's be honest here, it would more likely be this:

Yuk. That reminds me a little too much of my NLU's untimely death!

How did you manage that?

It was in its case inside my bag. Someone gave me a lift in his car, and put the bag in the boot. Somewhere laong the way, the screen must have been crushed. Seems the case didn't offer the protection I'd hoped for. I've been _really_ careful with my FLU!

The one with the FFVII shot looks awsome :p

We can only hope and pray that some very smart and kind people port a PSX emulator, maybe FPSE?

Ha those were really great.

I am going to have to memorize the movements of a trailer and pretend I am playing that game. Everyone will be in aww after they see Halo 2 on my gp2x! :)

Hmm, is the GPX2 even powerful enough to emulate a PSX? I really like the original Crash Bandicoot, and I think my little bother gave it away(he's 21 now, I've forgiven him). I also liked Swagman, does anyone remember it? It was a game that could have run on the SNES, but I loved that game, it was one of the games that I got early on. It also had a cool soundtrack, it could be played right off the cd.

Anyway, yeah, a PSX emulator would be awesome.

Thanx,
Stan

It would be but likely if it does happen it wont play too many games at a decent speed. maybe stricyly 2D games but it's all still unsure until people figure out how to use it and try to push the envelope.
