Pre Order Wo

while i'm waiting for the emus and apps, i'll just listen to music, watch a movie, or read a text file w/ my gp2x :D

Craig no chance of knowing some of the games/emus that we could expect before Xmas?

I have a handy video/mp3 player just bought an I River not long ago so its all aboput the games for me.

Did the GP32 ever really come down in price?

Its so cheap already.... I can't really see a major price drop anytime soon.

Well I think you all know which devs are working on the new system, its not hard to find out on these very forums....

Yeah,

Will we have to pay for the stuff (emus/games) or will it be free?

Also do you know of any commercial games in the pipeline?

I doubt we'll have to pay for emulators, much like the GP32 scene. I mean if it's the successor we really shouldnt. But I'd expect if someone where to make an original game that they'd try to sell it, assuming they didn't just do it for the fun of making a game.

How good is linux frodo?  Is it as good as the GP32 version?  Is it as fast? does it have sound?

Stays crunchy in milk.

WHAT!!??

Can you give a real answer, please? Just want to know so I know if I will have to keep the GP32 BLU around for C64.

Lots of people are waiting to know more about software support before they order, but wasn't there a lot of talk a while back about backwards compatibility? Won't we be able to get started straight away with the old GP32 stuff while we wait for new things?

The GP2X isn't compatible with GP32 software, so no, but there will be plenty of software out by release time.

GPH don't own the rights to the gp32 (Gamepark own them) so the gp2x can't be compatible (at least not officially - someone may try something I suppose, but it won't be GPH). It's possible the xgp could be compatible as it's supposed to use an updated version of gpos.
