Minigame Ideas, Please!

ELASTOMANIA! dammit!

the games i thought the GP32 could handle before i got it was metal slug and elastomania! :(
oh well

Elastomania is... well, shit.

Besides that it would not fit in the project (levels, to complicated). ANd all those physics aren`t easy to code.

Why don`t you learn Fenix and make it dammit :D

Mario DS and Shenmue 2 have this game with pegs on a board and you have to drop balls down and they bounce off the pegs and make their way down landing in random places at the bottom with different scores. It really is sort of a random game but with two people taking turns and the element of gambling it can really become addictive. :)

This may be more than you might want to dive into. A defender clone with cartoon graphics like metal slug would be great. You could use the metal slug character with a rocket pack. Maybe put in some kind of jazzy frantic music.

Would be a nice idea, quite easy to do, but I would have to make the level endless, hmm... I think I will try to make this one first...

simple, yet very addictive, i would love to see this remade for a handheld.

Not that simple to make for me. I`m a very bad artist :D
And you can`t really go "hiscore hunting" on these types of games,
so that will be just possible 2 player game I could make... I`m planning
on adding 5 two player games in the next version which you can play on
one gp32.

Could you make a music themed minigame? Kind of like DDR but with some twist.... i'll try to think of ways that can work.

How would that work in Fenix?
Since you cannot play mp3, and I don`t know if there is even the slightest chance of letting the music interfere the gameplay, It would just not work.
If it would work, I must have many different music files for the game to be fun, and that would just push The Minigame Project into outer space file sizes.

Quiest,

I have uploaded alphas of a PC game I was working on a couple of years ago, that I never finished. I think it would make a perfect minigame. Maybe someday I'll finish it; all I need to do is add more ships with different movement (which is why I stopped the project; I ran out of ideas for enemy ship movement!).

I used Multimedia Fusion (similar to Games Factory; same coders) to write this game.

This version had the barrier move down after each wave of ships:
Astro Panic alpha 7

This newer version had different (vector) graphics and the barrier moves up and down as the player shoots the enemies. This is the version I'll most likely finish in the future:
Astro Panic alpha 8

Each download is under 2 megs, and there are readmes describing the controls.

Enjoy!
