Drmd Version 3.0

Yep thanks Horscht, its all setup now. Hopefully the next time there is a beta there won'y be any troubles in distributing it, cheers.

Thanx a lot again Reesy. :)

As soon as I got my GP32 flash memory replaced (messed up with a JTAG :(), I test that. :)

International Superstar Soccer Deluxe [!] (GP32 resets)

The weird thing about this game is that it runs without any problems on my debug version of DrMD but I have no idea why.

Bugs Bunny in Double Trouble - now works
Chaos Engine, The - now works but scrolling is terrible
Contra: Hard Corps - still broke
Dino Dini's Soccer - still crashes
Exo-Squad - still resets
Gynoug - scoring now works properly
Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker - still complains it needs PAL/SECAM
Sol-Deace - now works
Turrican - still doesn't work

it's getting there! keep up the good work!

Jimmy White's Snooker works, try the CopierFix version :)

Micro Machines now works up to the game itself, so its better than before, Micro Machines 96 works fine.

Well I've sort of got it running now, it was not happy about the way I currently deal with the cycle count on the M68K. I've changed this now and its running, only thing is if you press the Start button at the start when the sega logo is being displayed it crashes. You have to let the logo finish and then it work correctly, wierd. Its still has rendering problems as the shadows are all green, I know about this problem so at some point I'll fix it.

Later

Reesy

thx for the new version :)

gonna try some of those new working games.

too bad my favorite game psycho pinball no longer works. (black screen)
i'm gonna leave beta9 om my smc too so i can stil play it :)

edit: seems like my rom got corrupted. psycho pinball works.

There's still a bug in Castlevania Bloodlines.

In the german weapon factory stage, after beating Frankenstein there are several screens where large spinning blades should be, with openings to get through.
But instead, there's just a grey circle in the center of the screen that kills you with two hits, no matter what.
It's impossible to progress further. :-(

working :) crue ball, risk :), sf2 8===D, sol feace, mig 29 :), skidmarks

so nobody bothers:
power instinct now works thru the demo, and no longer locks up but no controls :( please try prodding this one..
samurai shodown still no controls
cliffhanger still locks up
micro machines 1 locks
afterburner 2 still bad grafical
quaterback club games still won't boot
sonic jam 6 (bootleg) still locks the machine

works now (didn't work before):

Bio-Hazard Battle (Sep 1992) (UE) [!]
Top Gear 2 (U) [!]

Thats not right! I already played them with DR.MD b9!!

And why does Reesy say: (Street Fighter, yeah baby!) ??
Which new streefighter does now work? SF2 already woked in version 1 or 2.

Because Street Fighter 2 Special Championship Edition now works and as far as I know it did not run previously. Its bloody good fun, shame I don't have six buttons...but maybe soon.

Actually Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker (E) [h1] goes behind this PAL / SECAM complain screen even in beta 2 although it didn work after title screen. In beta 3 it works, but it's unplayable because of weird zoom out bug. White Falcon, what you mean by saying CopierFix?

works now (didn't work before):

Bio-Hazard Battle (Sep 1992) (UE) [!]
Chaos Engine, The (E) [!]
Gods (JUE) [R-Eur] [!]
Lightning Force (U) [c] [!]
Lotus 2 RECS (EUJ) [!]
Lotus Turbo Challenge (EU) [!]
Pac-Man 2 - The New Adventures (U) [!] (allthough I have no clue how to control it)
Shining Force 2 (U) [!]
Shining Force (U) [!]
Top Gear 2 (U) [!]
Toy Story (4) [!]

I am pretty sure Bio-Hazard Battle worked in version 2.

International Superstar Soccer Deluxe [!] (GP32 resets)
Mickey Mouse - Great Circus Mystery (U) [!] (Game freezes (not emu) after the ballons went into the air)
NHL 98 (4) [c] [!] Crashes when Game should start
Virtua Racing (U) might be a 32X game, not sure.

Too bad Comic Zone still has those graphical errors, but I guess a new cyclone core doesn't help in that regard.
Can you specify what kind of gfx errors you mean ? I have original cart and comparing to it I haven't notice any bugs so far :)

Great! Gonna test this later.
thanks Reesy for your work. Interested in a gmail account?
Didn't know it is still desirable thing :) Anyway, if anybody want a 2gigs gmail account just send me a pm with working email where i can send an invitation.

Hi all,

Most of what I was going to say has been posted already,

The Street Fighter 2 games that work are, Street Fighter 2 Special Champ edition & Street Fighter 2 Turbo.

(the new chalengers still dosnt)

I would still say go for Street Fighter 2 Turbo as you can set the Buttons to have A as hard Kick and B as Hard Punch the Select as Light Punch for your slow fireballs :p

Also one that hasnt been mentioned the Random problem with hard driving has been fixed, sometimes you used to crash into thin air for noething LOL...

Thanks Reesy :)

Ballz now works which I'm pretty sure didn't use to.

Did Micro Machines 96 work in beta 9? Pretty sure I read it wasn't working in 2.0, but it definitely works now.

Some individual games still have graphical errors like:

Dynamite Heady (A whole stage is very difficult to play as you need to hit buttons to shift the whole level which just skews the whole screen! I still finished it though ;)
Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic and Knuckles etc.. (Water glitch - water level is invisible, except when in it when it consumes the whole screen. Also if just your toes touch it, the backdrop changes to water mode!)

But either way, this emulator is amazing Reesy, I really do think that one day you'll 100% that bad boy and be the envy of a world of rookie coders ;)

On a sidenote.. Just took my Gp32 to greece for a week so I can't update anything on my smc. I want the minigame project!

I mean this one: Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker (E) [f1].zip
It is in the CopierFixes folder of GoodGEN 2.05.

Weird, didn't ren & stimpy have sound on beta 9.

Now it's all quiet

but who cares, we can always keep 2 versions of drmd on the smc :):)

syndicate now appears to be working....used to crash at start.

true lies, also seems to be stable again, tho a little graphical issue -- nothing that stops you playing tho as far as i know.

It is not a "glitch" that the water doesn't work. It is because the MD switches the pallette mid screen. Since the GP32 renders vertical instead of horizontal the emu would have to check every pixel for the pallette change which would slow the emu to 5 FPS. So don't count on that ever changing on the GP32.
