hehe at now that i (hopefully) got your attention:

it seems like yoyofr (aka mr opensnes9x) did work on the neogeocd psp emulator:

freaky!

Um, yes, he did. He also ported SNES9x to the PSP (together with Laxer and ThunderZ).

You can also find this information if you want to download the stuff from PSPArchive.de (NeoCD Emulator and SNES9x)

cool. i never was into the psp scene (maybe because of substantial lack of psp), so i didn't know it.

He "deserted" every system.
He's a nice guy, coding for fun, but leaving when it's no fun for him anymore.

He coded for the GP32, for the Zodiac, now for the PSP.

And I find it pretty cool playing Star Ocean on my PSP :)

Those guys were all GP32 coders at one time. I guess it is safe to say that they will be sticking with the PSP. There goes any chances for an updated SNES emu or even one for the GPx2. I guess we need to get used to playing stretched out SNEs games on the PSP :( Because of the much greater CPU power and better availability of the PSP it makes me wonder if much of a GPx2 scene will ever develop.

uh... Dave? I think that if GPH is going to claim that the GPX2 will play SNES and MAME games they'd kind of have to be working on an SNES emulator, so I wouldn't worry unless you know something about them that I don't that invovles them being complete lying assholes... and so far, I haven't seen any evidence of that.

i really think there just gonna stick with the psp's! its a bigger comunity, more people worship them = more populeraty! And if anything is released its widely known!

psp + me =

Ummm... exactly WHAT GP32 coder (except for the SNES9x team) went on to the PSP?
None other I know!

And the gpx2 will have SNES, no need to worry.

yoyofr isn't exactly known for sticking around. What makes you think he'll stick with the PSP?

Yep, working perfectly with crystal clear sound and nearly no slowdowns :)

Well the SNES 9x team is a BIG one. But it seems you are thrilled with the PSP anyway, so I guess it won't matter much. Maybe the remaining GP32 scene should forget about the GPx2 and just move on to PSP too? The PSP is more powerful anyway, I just wish the screen matched better, I hate that damn stretching.

your cance of gabbing a 1.5 psp is pretty low allready, its not suited for homebrew at all, and its also much more expensive.
And gpx2 will ahve a snes emulator at launch, so whats the problem.

And we aren't sure if 1.51, 2.0 etc firmwares will be cracked.

I'll get a PSP eventually, but I'll certainly buy a GPx2 first.

everything is crackeable. (even if by brute force)

i'll get a gpx2 first, later maybe a psp.
that's the plan now, but it might change. some psp games seem far too interesting.

I wonder why you are always talking in such a negative way... I'm not thrilled with the PSP, I find it nice playing Star Ocean on it, and that's it.
The gpx2 can do it also (and, btw., I do much more helping the gpx2 to become successful than I do for the PSP...).

I also have a GBA and NDS, and use both for homebrew.
My favourite system is still the gpx2.

And I really advise EVERYONE from the GP32 scene to wait for the gpx2. Besides the fact that it's not sure if you can ever play homebre on 2.0 PSPs, it's not as well suited for what most want than the gpx2.
AND the gpx2 is much cheaper.

I just got the PSP because I want to play good RPGs (which will come out for the PSP), and as I was buying one anyway, I surely wanted one which supports homebrew without modding.

yeah. besides everything think of the gpx2's biggest advantage: an enormous 320x240 screen. which is awesome for emulation.

...i guess the name gp enis fits this thing better every second...
