Hey guys, what do you think?
Shall i wait for tha nds flash cart, or shall i buy a gp32?

Thanks,

Sutőolaj

depends on what games you like to pllay.

I personally woiuld rather have the gp32_console though

yes, but its a bit expensive for me..

the whole "equipment" is about 200 phounds... :( :( :(
and tha nds is 80 phounds, but with a flash cart, it will be more expesive.. i hope ;P

depends on what your going to use it for. The specs on the DS are not as good as the GP32, so for emulation, it might not be as good as the GP32, plus the DS is commercial so any games you would get you would pay for making the cost alot higher than the GP32.

A bit off topic, are there any DS specific emulators or anything? All i'm aware of is running the GBA flash carts in the DS, but nothing actually DS specific.

Nothing yet that I know of, a few DS Homebrew games. Ryleh said he may port some of hes emulators to the DS, dont know how well thats going?

I have Supercard for My DS, Great for playing GBA games but the only emulator I can get to work is Foon (Speccy Emulator) that was designed for GBA. The SMS and NES emulators didnt work but that could just be my linker card.

On topic, some of the DS games are great, im reliving Mario 64 & Ridge Racer and am loving Tiger Woods the touch screen system is great for that game. Anouther Good Racer is Asphalt Urban GT. Also a Goldeneye FPS is comming out soon :)

The GP32 though is a conpletely different Animal, Its nice to have both as the GP32 is a great emulating tool... But to just have one? Depends if you want to play emulated retro games on the Go or new commercial games.

Steve.

Is it really that much? I thought it was just over £100. Suppose it depends on where you live and postage?

I have both systems, if you want to spend money on games get the DS, however if you don't get the GP32.

Or juste wait a few weeks just to see if they make the homebrew work on psp 1.5 firmware ;) But agreed, don't buy a nds... Gp32 is the best for emulation yet, but on psp you'll have some good commercial games AND probably good emulation (with these two 333mhz processors in it... )

I agree the GP32 is just a novilty system. While I do love Nintendo I don't like the duel display for games.

Really to each their own, whatever portable system you find to be the most fun that you can afford.

I would sya for old shcool emulation the GP32 is the way to go for know as there are a lot of great emulators written for t but in time I am sure the PSP will ketch up.

I cna't wait for GPMAME 1.2 to come out!!!

[*cough*zodiac*cough* :D
although the Zods controls arent that great....
That seems to be the standard sentence here:

The Zodiac has some cool emulation features...(and to appease the GP32 fanboys)...but its controls suck.

But that´s just not true. The controls of the Zodiac aren´t soo bad (i do quite like them), it depends on how you calibrate them. On the other hand, the Emulation isn´t that much better than the GP32´s, it depends on where your focus lies. Sure, it has better Snes or PCengine. It has also Amiga and NeoGeo emulation, a thing the GP32 couldn´t even dream of. But still, the GBC emulation is lame, Megadrive too, and there´s a lot of stuff the Zod hasn´t despite being more powerful.

That´s why i dislike that kind of senteces. (No offense intended)
