Ok, fuck the ds, as soon as the PSP comes out i'm trading it in.

after reading this http://www.gamespot.com/ds/strategy/ninten...ws_6119353.html

I've concluded that there will be no, or at least not for a long time, anything other than kiddy games on this pieces of crap. I don't want no stinkin Puppy Times, i want Smash Bros DS or Resident Evil DS, ANYTHING OTHER THAN FUCKING MINI GAMES AND PUPPY TIMES.

All of you thinking about buying a DS, think real hard about it, more and more it seems this thing is only going to be geared to 5-10 year olds and i'm regretting spending the cash on mine big time now.

Agreed.

Even with games like Lost in Blue and Another Code (which scored highly in Famistu) you still moan on about the games being just for kids.

And one point, just how mature is the PSP? If you take it down the pub I doubt you'll be looked upon as a figure of mature goodness. Yet, I bet you show the same people Bomb Omb Squad and they'll be intrigued more than just seeing Ridge Racer in their hands.

I'll just point out that although I really, really love the look of the PSP and will be buying one soon, this console/handheld war has bored me more than any other so far.

i agree that they're both "good", the DS has good potential, but i'm sorry, nintendo is acting "slow", the PSP is being released this month. I read somewhere the DS was not to compete with the PSP but to be something different, so what are they going to do, compete with the PSP with the GBA??

I loved my DS when i got it, but I beat mario and i'm bored. I've read nothing good about what is out and nothing looks really that great coming out in the near future.

I personally thought that there would've been alot better stuff knowing the PSP was nipping at its heels, but i guess not.

Lost in Blue? Abother Code? Metroid Prime Hunters? A new Castlevania (like the GBA series)?

You call these kiddy games?

Are you stupid?

It`s the same with the Gamecube, yes there are a list of kiddy games, but there are also a lots of really good mature games, and thats why I love it!

And you can`t say "I want Resident Evil for the DS" It was just launched (well, next friday in Germany, and I`m definetly buying one!)
Wait for those titles! Play GBA games while waiting for them!
I think it`s possible that there will be more mature titles in the near future!

Yep, GBA 2 iirc.

Ninnie did say when they announced the birth of the Ds, That if the Ds was not a success, They have a back-up plan in the shape of the GBA 2. So imo, The Ds seems to be a bit of a white elephant. ;)

Congratulations, your penis is a lot bigger than mine because you refuse to play anything without killing in it.

Out of the list of announced DS games on Gamespot, I managed to pick out 11 which would be targetted mainly at kids. And the majority of them I'd play anyway.

And how can u say that the DS' games are gonna be crap. Hmmm? wanna shead some light on that one. I suppose u know all the the 160 titles being made for it and know wat they look like. Seriously though u dont know wat else has yet to be annouced for the DS so just wait. Im gonna wait and see wat gets announced then decide whether im gonna keep it or not. Anyway i cant wait to see wat GBA2 is like. hopefully it will compete with psp in terms of graphics.

The DS is a stop-gap, that is it. Even Nintendo is already priming us for the next handheld the GB Evolution or whatever it will be called, and it is supposed to be out next year.

So the Ds has little over a year lifespan before their next system replaces it.

Oh I know , the next system won't be replaceing it it will complement it. Yeah right, bullshit! as soon as the new one is released the DS is a Dead System..

well, these two consoles just bring out the worst in people.

im getting pretty sick of these threads dude's i thought we were better than www.gamefaqs.com

seems not.

yeah shame though that the DS is a stop gap cause if nintendo try really hard it could be amazing. But guess they will wont GBA2 to start with a good line-up as well as revolution. hopefully their line-ups will be better than the US launch of the DS.

Is it actually impossible for a company to have two different products out at the same time?

Not impossible, But does seem a bit pointless having two products aimed at similar (used loosely) markets and trying to spread their resources to support them both.

EDIT: Shit spelling. ;)
