Official Psp Release And Omg

I'm not putting any system down. I just own a gamecube. I also own a playstation but It doesn't work very good. soo I stay with the gamecube until I get a xbox or ps2. :D

I've preordered a PSP at Lik-sang, but I don't think I'll be going through with it. The price of the console is incredibly cheap for the hardware behind it, but look at it: It's a completely locked down console that will only run Sony authorised software.

Games are said to cost around $40, replacement batteries $45, memory sticks are not exactly cheap either, and you probably require them for save games, even the case is extra. So even though they are going to lose on the console, they are going to make incredible profits from the accessories and software.

It'll be a nice machine when it's cracked open, so I think I'll wait until then :)

itll be cracked in no time, proly before it hits America
remember, there is now blank GBA carts for sale and units that plug to coomputer toi write on them, only a matter of time till the same thing happens for the UMD!
I hope they get some good games from the Past and present

What I think that rocks is that cool games like SOCOM ( is coming to PSP , already anounced ) will be wireless ( ya DS can go wireless, but not like the PSP - 11 megs a second, scoot over bluetooth) , have a headset ( that will eat processor power the DS cant spare ) and have 16 players in same game, all on a portable
basicly, both systems are the same, Just PSP has...
Bigger high res screen
bigger game disks ( bigger games )
802.11b for up to 11megs a second at 100 meters outdoors, 40 indoors
much faster processor
games that I like more

thats why it wins for me

So the psp has a headset big wow. What do you call the thing at the bottom of the ds? its a microphone so you don't need to plug in a headset. ds's wireless searches over internet to find people that could be half way round the world. I think thats better than s**tty bluetooth.

Just to clarify something:

The PSP's wireless is 11Mega*bits*/sec, which, when you take overhead into account, will probably give you about 900Kb/sec. If it drops to 1Mb, you'll be lucky if you get 100Kb/sec.

Both devices use Wifi. The DS was originally going to use bluetooth, but they changed it later on.

A good kick in the ass for nintendo :D for their crappy GBA and their crappy game licencing and range of games :p

Feck it. I'm cancelling my DS and getting a PSP - what do you guys recommend, Lik-Sang or Play Asia?

PSP has the stuff! I reckon I'll get Tiger Woods with it. I do love Golf. Pity it will be in Japanese...but...I can always get it again when it comes out in the US.

Edit: Done and dusted. PSP and Tiger Woods hopefully coming my way. Got the pack with the extras in it. Couldn't be helped, it's Christmas. Now, Konami - get to work on Winning Eleven....

Ok, so there are 4 spin offs of FF7, the site you referenced EvilDragon had the third and 4th. What were the other 2?

The first one is FF7: Advent Children (though it's a movie, not a game, they refer it as a Spin Off)

The second one is a mobile one (that's actually a prequel to FF7):

The third one is one for the PS2: FF7: Dirge Of Cerberus

(You can find some screenshots here)

And the fourth one the one for the PSP.
