The What Music Are You Listening To Thread

I like the most EDM, techno, hardstyle and similar things, mainly if it's upbeat is for me.

Lately I was searching youtube for something in that style but I found it difficult because a lot of songs are tagged in the wrong genre, and also 90% of results are AI channels with melodies that are nice but I can't call them songs.

Then I found a couple of very good songs and both were from the same channel, relatively new but with too much videos ... turned out it was made with AI too, but damn the stuff in there is good, I'm pretty sure behind that there's someone who knows what is doing !!

The channel contains music from three "sisters", every one of them cover different kind of sounds.

In my case, I just go to the channel and filter for "Cyra", almost every song is the genre I like.

There indeed is a lot of AI these days. Youtube labels them to I noticed, which can be helpful when doubting if it's hand-made content.
And as you observed: there is a difference between a human using AI as a tool to create his vision, or some script cramming out as much AI content as possible.
The only problem I noticed is that AI can literally sound like another artist, as it's trained on that persons material, which isn't good. I guess that still a limitation of AI, that it can reproduce the original content too easily.

Youtube is full of remixes or mashup, maybe the only issue here could be to give credits where them are deserved.

I usually look up genres on wiki or spotify user playlists to find artists that I like then deep dive on them. I prefer peak era not contemporary for any genre I can think of. This limits the likelihood of slop. Today I'm listening to Nujabes and J Dilla.
