What are you playing this weekend/these days?

Arcade Paradise

I played just a little but for many months, because it's a game that can be very repetitive and grindy at the beginning ... anyway I can see the progresses and everything I unlock is always super cool, the 80s/90s details are PERFECT ... the games are all invented but are anyway credible as from that time, the background music are all invented too but are very similar to famous songs of that time.

Anyway, I had the game for FREE from Epic Store, but it's soo cool that I bought it from GOG with every single DLC ... I need more of this ...

EDIT:

Luckily the save game file from Epic is compatible with the GOG version

I have to spoil this thing about the game, because is too cool ...

at some point in the game you can play with a cabinet named "Knuckes and Knees", a beat em up like Final Fight / Streets of Rage, in that game there's an Arcade in the background where you can enter ... and play arcade games !!
(That also will keep record scores !!)

Just finished Yesterday Origins, another great point and click. The 3d characters and items, which you get a zoomed in look at to interact with, fit the 2d backgrounds very well without sticking out like sore thumbs as in some other games. You get the usual item combinations in or out of inventory. But you also get to "collect" up to four ideas which then let you formulate plans on what to do with certain items to reach a particular goal. Voice acting and music are alright, nothing special. Ran into a few bugs of which only the UI breaking was really bad - had to restart the game a few times. Story was interesting and a continuation of Yesterday.
Another good game from Microids/Pendulum is The Next Big Thing.
Just saw that they released Tintin Reporter - Cigars of the Pharaoh a little while back. I'll wait for a deal on that, looks promising.

I just finished Bioshock, decided I need to stick to my policy of not (or rarely) giving up. Found it overrated and monotone. Didn't like the dark, zombie vibe. Maybe I don't like shooters or only really good ones. Maybe I should have been more tactical. Glad it's over. Also playing quite a bit of Street Fighter Alpha 2 these days.

I didn't finish Bioshock, I couldn't be bothered. But apparently there is a deep lore there, so it's still on my to-do list, including its sequels.

I was going to talk about Tintin but the quote wasn't working so I deleted it. I too considered Cigar of the Pharoas. I have a few Tintin games on my 3DS too. Tintin taught me about the world.
