I am trying to encode some cartoons I have (legally I might add) But they are encoded with Windows Media Audio V2. When trying to 'Save as AVI' in VirtualDub, (With my normal GP32 procesor settings) it says "Error initializing audio stream decompression. The requested conversion is not possible. Check to make sure you have the corect codec."

I can play the files in their original format on my PC and know i have all codecs needed! I have also tried downloading VirtualDub MOD (which can handle the file fine) The only problem being, VirtualDub MOD does not allow for sound and the sound codec cannot be changed. (I thought i could change it THEN put it into original VirtualDub)

Please advise as I am really struggling and hoping to put them on by 3.00 today as i am going out on a long train journey.

Thanks

i ran into some troubles when trying to convert some .asf video.

i believe microsoft has looked out all possible conversions with regards to its file types in vdub, the only option is to hunt around for an earlier release and see if that can handle it.
