If an Amiga emulator was made it might not exactly replace CaSTaway as it would most likely be a lot slower and perhaps even have no sound, so I wouldn't delete CaSTaway from the SMC just yet!

I *really* hope this happens, I had an amiga 500 and a 1200. The 500 alone was amazing with a really superb range of games, not to mention an amazing PD scene. If this does get created it will be truly incredible. Emulator writers are heros!

I am definately all for an Amiga emulator in any shape or form on the GP32. I loved the Amiga, and still do. I have 3 of them in my Retro collection, I call them my 3 Amigos :D . An A500, an A1200 and an A1200 with accelerator board and extra RAM. Also I still have a stack of software filling a cupboard too....

I really hope this project gets off the ground, you have my support 100% !!!

Clare.

Guys, Girl, back to reality. The GP32 is simply not powerful enough to emulate an Amiga, it was way to 1337! The guy in the previous post said it worked on his 400 MHZ (yes 400, more than *double* the speed of the GP32) PPC at frameskip FIVE and had stuttery sound!

How the #@$@! do you think you can get anything useable at only 166 MHz! An Amiga running with frameskip 10 with no sound would be pretty painful. Go download the Vectrex emu on the GP32 and play with that, that is about what you would get at best with an Amiga emu.

Just use CaSTaway and pretend it is an Amiga emulator that has a few bugs in sound emulation :D

(not that i dont love the gp32 too of course)

I thought you sold off your GP32.
