Lithium Battery Installed In My Gp32

Nice - interesting and useful for those who've veen asking for this for ages. What sort of life do you get on it? (sorry id you've already said - didn;t have time to look properly).

Holy crap on a cracker!! I was going to cut & paste some of the text into a translation program, but my eyes began to bleed from seeing a banner ad for gay man pr0n!!

Edit: I braved my way back, and came up with this:

"As for the duration of the battery, not yet it itself, I put does it some 4-5 days, and I will have played some 4 or 5 hours to 133mhz, already we will see as much as hard.. "

 at free web translators

daaaaaamn, I saw that shit too. Whats up with the penis banner, atleast give a friggin warning, I gotta see enough of that shit in the city

But otherwise great job, if I ever get a gp32 I'll most likely perform that mod.

LI-ON is much better cuz it doesnt wear as much.

The battery capacity alway stays the same even after 500 times of usage.

You get 3v for all the battery life against the initial 2,4v from the NiMh cells, and it's just initial, then you loose play time after each recharge.

The only advantage of NiMh is that it's cheaper most times.
I hope to get cheaper Li-ion batteries for our Gp32 in the future.

i could translate it ... but i dont promise it because i havent traslated the chatboard guide yet, as i promised. :( :(

If anyone wants to translate it ... because it's really boring for me to rewrote in again.

If you dont understand something i could explain it to you in this board in english, or in my web board in spanish. the photos should be almost enought ;) ;)

Hey i also have an RCRV3 Li Ion (Samsung) battery sitting around since two or three month, waiting for me to mod my GP32 the way you did. Maybe this will give me the motivation to do so ;)

I've tested my battery with Yaouank's battery tester program (http://yaouank.gp32news.com/ , down ATM), and it gave me like 7h30 hours life at 133Mhz (not bad considering it's 1100 mAH

Nice work BTW. Once i have my shoulder button repaired (i broke the damn tiny metal piece that acts as a spring) , i'll mod my GP like you did, and maybe even further (like allowing the battery to be charged inside the GP32, much like a cellphone)

It could be interesting to charge the battery inside.

And it shouldnt be complex, because these batteries has 3 connectors,
2 for discharging/using the battery, and one independant connector for
charging ...

so maybe you only need to put an extra conector to the gp32 case, directly
connected to the charging connector.

Please let me know about your progress about ... i'm really interested :) :)

I'm looking for a battery that fits better our gp32 ... if you have any idea post models and photos if you have, please.

Aiken, If you speak english, why don't you make a tutorial in english, so that everybody on this forum doesn't have to guess how you did this? :)

By the way, nice job! I think I would like to do this one too.

Fergus, be sure to read the entire thread. I already asked Aiken that question, and here was his response:
