Right guys the noobs are coming. The BLU is gonna create a hell of an influx of newbies so lets all just try to give them a warm welcome. Try not to flame them. Don't swear at them and if you don't like their noob questions bite your tongue and don't reply.

I know this has all been said before but I just thought it was worth mentioning again as they are gonna be here any day now. I'm sure even I am gonna be stretched to the limit with the "why can't I get the gba emu to run any games?" and the "when is the xbox emulator coming out?" questions etc but I'm just gonna count to 10 and go AFK. Either that or crack open another beer. :)

Chill out guys and lets keep this place as friendly as we can keep it.

Lol, just be courtious and helpful, I remember when I first got my gp32 I didn't need help but I felt if I did I would be able to ask here! Then I noticed some of the n00b flamin' going on and just kinda tried to avoid it unless I had to confront it. Simply either help or ignore, don't flame it's really bad for the boards (you know what happens to paper when you add flame? boards are the same especially if they're the rafters!)

*Also, anybody know the song One Tin Soldier???

I think most n00bs are going to go to gp32spain.com seeing as how it was release in Spain.

I think my favorite was something like-
"hows the snes emulation? Im sure its great, and being that its 32 bit handheld Im sure it could easily run playstation games, and maybe N64!"
Needless to say, that kid got 3rd degree burns

LOL or 'the PSX only has a 32 MHz processor, the GP32 has 133 MHz, ZOMG the GP32 shuld emulated 4 playstations!!'

*BEEP*

Oh shit, they're coming. Brace yourselves. BaDToaD and moz defend the left entryway. I'll hold them off from the right --

*BEEP*

They're moving too fast!! Smartguns ready! Hooka, DaveC, man positions on the guard tower and get read to pick them off --

*BEEP*

triksR4rabits get down there! MOVE!!

*BEEP*

Agh they're coming --

*BEEP*

*rapidly fires* Agh! The stupid questions are searing... my skin!! Gah ... THEY'RE COMING OUT OF THE GOD DAMN WALLS!!

*muffled scream, silence*

The more users the better I say. After all this forum encourages new people does it not? If its too N00B for you just don't answer the post :)

maybe sombody should make a note on the front of the board saying to use the "search" button before posting a question so we dont hear the "how can you emulate SNES if there is only six buttons?????" again!

There's already a ROM / Warez policy and new people still ask for links to ROM / Warez.

We're considering updating all the boards with a stickied "Board Policy" just so we can be more justified in kicking your butts when you go out of line :D

I guess this probably wouldn't be a good time to ask where to get ROMs... :p :D

Seriously, though, I am generally pretty good with computers, but I'll hope not to get flamed if I run into a problem once I get my GamePark

Even overtly stupid questions are often answered; what pisses most people off is the manner in which they ask. Demanding for answers or just being rude in general is what'll really get someone flamed. If you read the faq and arent a dick, your question is often welcome. Now fuck off!

I always try to be kind to the n00bs, as it was not too long ago that I was clueless :D I'm still unlocking the mysteries of this little wonder of a machine, but at least I have a few clues now ;)

I think we should hire a Newbie Bot, so everytime they post it automatically replies saying to use the search function, regardless if it's a good question or not ;)

That'll teach 'em.

Let's hope there will be veteran coders noob's too.

Then they can be 'molded'to our likings :p

noob: Hi i'd like to code somthing for the gp32

Guru: Well we still have a mame project open.
But you can only dev it if you work about 8 hours a day on it.

Hmmm... how about:

"Where do I fit the SNES cartridge into? I heard the GP32 can play them!"
